Allah is our Creator.

We like to thank Manzoor Khan for inviting us and insha-Allah this is always happy house and insha-Allah Allah give him many grandchildren. And whoever is here insha-Allah Allah gives whoever is here better health.

First of all we have to say that all of us are equal, as the prophet said, an-naasu sawaasiyatan ka asnaan al-musht – “human beings are equal like the teeth of a comb,” and la farqa bayan arabiyyan wa laa `ajamiyyan illa bi’t-taqwa –“ There is no difference between Arab and non-Arab except by taqwa.”

Allah created everyone from same father and same mother the only difference is between … there is no difference between a Muslim, between an Arab and a non-Arab except thru righteousness.

It means that sincerity is what counts. All people, those who believed in Sayyidina Muhammad are al-Ummat al-Islamiyya all of them are equal in everything, they believe, they pray they fast they pay charity they do hajj. That is why the prophet said there is no difference except in one way. Taqwa. You can fast, you can pray, pay charity, but if you don’t have taqwa, wat is benefit. Then you are losing the element that makes you to be near the divine presence to be near to ridaa'ullah - for Allah to be happy with you, you will lose that. Anyone gives shahada or does his prayers and does his fasting and pays charity and goes for Hajj and if on Judgment Day he does all that and comes with no sin, for sure he will go to Paradise.

But who of us has no sins? All of us have tons of sins. So to eliminate these sins as much as we can is thru taqwa. And Allah swt said in  many verses in Holy Quran about taqwa and He said, ittaqullah wa yu`alimakumullah. If you have taqwa Allah will teach you.

Have taqwa, wa yu`allimakumullah. Allah is confirming that Allah will teach you. Allah is a teacher? Allah is the Creator. What He will teach you? It means He will manifest in you knowledge, `ilm and He will dress you from siffat al-`alim, from the Attribute of Knowledge, so that you become, your tongue becomes, like a river of flowing into the ocean, running so quickly, your tongue will become like that when we have taqwa.

That taqwa, Allah makes us to be, to learn something when we have taqwa. That is why He said, ittaqullah… and what did He say about Sayyidina Adam? Wa `allama Adam al-asma kullaha. It means Allah will reveal to you as He revealed and inspired to Adam, taught him all the Names, it means all the secrets. What He taught him of Names? Do we know? It means there are secrets.

Sayyidina Khidr and Sayyidina Musa, what happened between them, that [knowledge] was hidden from Sayyidina Musa, he didn’t know it, although he was from very high level of prophets, from the fifth level of prophets. But Allah wants us to know that he give an example. Even from a prophet. That “look, what I gave to Sayyidina Khidr I didn’t give to you.”

So that is why He said in Holy Quran. Fa wajada `abdan min `ibaadina aataynahu rahmatan min `indina wa `allamnaahu min ladunna `ilma. When they, Sayyidina Musa and his servant Joshua, were looking for the whale, He said “they found one servant.” That means there are a lot of others but what Sayyidina Musa met is one, one `abd. Where are the rest? It means in dunya there are a lot of `ibaad, these servants that are inheriting from Sayyidina Khidr these knowledges. “So We blessed him with Our Mercy” and by blessing him he was ready to receive these knowledge, heavenly knowledge. Allah said “we taught him from our heavenly knowledge.” You cannot teach a heavenly knowledge except if you are blessed. And you cannot be blessed if you don’t have taqwa. So that man Sayyidina Khidr had sincerity. When he showed that sincerity then Allah dressed him with that Attribute of Mercy. When that happened then knowledge was coming out of him like a river.

So when Allah revealed to Adam the Names, with what language [was it]? They say that there was no language, there is a stone age. What was the language at that time? It was no language. It was sound of animals at that time. [is that not?] [I don’t remember.] You didn’t study in science in books that in Stone Age they didn’t have any language. Who was the father of all human beings? It is Sayyidina Adam, as we are continuing what we spoke yesterday, today is a continuation. We have to differentiate, either we have belief or we have no belief. If we have no belief then why to waste time discussing these subjects. But if we have belief then we believe that Sayyidina Adam was the first man, we are not coming from monkeys.

So the first man was illiterate or illiterate? Was he speaking or not speaking? Speaking. Allah will not create a creature where it is going to carry the light of Sayyidina Muhammad (s) and carry the whole generations of human beings that he has put them in his back and from Day of Promises who is not intellectual or intelligent or has no language.

We know as Sayyidina Muhammad (s) said the language of Paradise was Arabic. So Sayyidina Adam where he was before? He was in Paradise. There you have animals? You have monkeys, and apes and tigers and lions fighting each other and eating each other. So there is no sounds there, there is language, Arabic language. So Adam was speaking the Arabic language. So when He revealed to him the whole Names, meaning the secrets, He taught him in a language, He revealed in order that Adam will understand. So there was a communication. Istaghfirullah we cannot say a monkey was in communication. Allah swt communicated with a perfect creation that He created.

As we said yesterday that in theory of evolution that Allah ordered Jibreel to go to earth and to bring one handful of soil and from that soil Allah created Adam. That is why the prophet said, “I was a prophet and Adam between clay and water.” It means he was in the process of molding; Allah was creating Adam and molding that clay with the water of Paradise. That is why they find today that human being is mostly water. What they found out, in our dank, mostly the human being is made of water. The structure. Allah molding that cell that from it He created the first cell from that cell and He created it and molded it with that heavenly water to become Adam. That is why He said, “we have honored human beingswa fadalnaahum `ala katheeran mimma khalaqna tafdeela - We have favored them over most of our creation.” Allah favored them over many things. So when Allah sent Adam to earth He has to send him to a place that Adam can live in. Is it not?

So to live, you… you come from a different country or move from one state to another state. So what do you do first? You prepare a house. So you say “I am going to California from New York, so where I have to go? I have to prepare a house, I have to rent or buy a house in order to move my furniture, to have a place to stay.” So when Adam wants to come to earth, earth has to be prepared. So from where is creation when Allah wants to send him to earth?

So if Allah created him from the soil of earth it means the whole of creation is from the soil of earth. It did not evolve from one bacterium, to a fish, to a mammal, to a monkey to human. That is why they are confused. They are all coming from the same cell that is coming from the same soil. Allah created from that soil Adam, created from that soil, animals. So people get confused with that theory of Darwin. Adam came created before so he came already created. Allah prepared dunya for when he comes. Allah did not bring Adam from a monkey and take him to Paradise and then Iblees comes and whispers in his ears and then Allah brings him down. What we have to believe is that Adam is coming from heavens as Allah said. What comes from earth is his soil. That is why He said,

مِنْهَا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ وَفِيهَا نُعِيدُكُمْ وَمِنْهَا نُخْرِجُكُمْ تَارَةً أُخْرَى

minha khalaqnaakum, wa feeha nu`eedukum wa minha nukhrijukum taaratan ukhraa.

From the (earth) did We create you, and into it shall We return you, and from it shall We bring you out once again. [20:55]

That is why that theory says one cell was created first, then everything evolved from it. From one cell, from one soil, Allah created creation and prepared them for when Adam comes so everything is ready for him. And the example of that that they were ready is when Adam in the story of Haabil wa Qaabil, Abel and Cain, when they qaraba qurbaanan, when they offered a sacrifice when Allah ordered that. What did they offer? A sheep. That was ready. The sheep were ready on earth. They were already living there ready for Adam to pick them up. So who revealed to Adam and his children that they have to give sacrifice of a ram. Allah prepared the sacrifice. They didn’t evolve from mammals. They are mammals but Allah created them from the same soil that he created Adam from, that is where they misunderstand and make the confusion.

So Adam and his children they offered the sacrifice and one was accepted and the other was not accepted. Why from one was accepted and from the other it was not accepted? Both of them are children of Adam. Both of them offered a sheep, a ram. One was accepted and one was not accepted. Why?

It is sincerity, it is taqwa. Because one of them, it is Haabil, went into his flock and picked up the biggest one and the best ram that he has and the other one Caabil, looked for the sick one that is going to die. He said, “die, since you are already about to die, Allah is not going to eat it.” Allah said,

Lan yanaala Allaha luhoomuha wa laa dimaauha wa laakin yanaluhu at-taqwa minkum kathalika sakhkharahaa lakum li-tukabbirullaha `ala maa hadaakum wa bashshiri ’l-muhsineen

It is not their meat nor their blood, that reaches Allah. it is your piety that reaches Him: He has thus made them subject to you, that ye may glorify Allah for His Guidance to you and proclaim the good news to all who do right. Al-Hajj [22:37]

Allah does not take from it the meat but Allah takes from it the sincerity.

So Abel showed sincerity and the other showed what? Dissincerity. Insincerity. Not only insincerity but as if he cursed his Creator, as if he humiliated Allah by his offering because his offering was the worst that he has.

So sincerity is what changes people. They were fasting and they were praying but one has sincerity and one has no sincerity. Similarly in the story of Sayyidina Yusuf and Sayyidina Ya`qub. All of them are children of Sayyidina Ya`qub and all of them are prophets, they were prophets, 12 prophets, Yusuf, bin Yameen and his brothers were all prophets. But what they did? They wanted to kill him because their father loves him because they were jealous of him. The father knows he will be `azeez masr, he will be guardian over all of Egypt. So he has love to him, as he is able to do something. The others are dependent always taking from their father.

Sayyidina Yusuf was from his childhood telling his father, that “I saw eleven stars and the sun and the moon making sajda to me.” And the father said, “don’t tell your dream to your brothers or they will prepare a scheme against you.”

So without telling them they did that scheme.

وَجَاؤُواْ أَبَاهُمْ عِشَاء يَبْكُونَ وَجَآؤُوا عَلَى قَمِيصِهِ بِدَمٍ كَذِبٍ

Wa ja’oo abaahum `ishaan yabkawn…wa jaaoo `ala qameesihi bi damin kadhib

Then they came to their father in the early part of the night, weeping… They stained his shirt with false blood. [Yusuf: 12:15-12:18]

They said “the wolf or hyena ate him.” They are cheating a prophet? Of course he knows. But he doesn’t interfere. It is Allah’s Will.

So ten of them, except Bin Yameen - he is from the same mother and the ten are from a different mother. So because of sincerity he made one the `azeez masr. And he made the others different but we cannot speak on them, because Allah honored them to be prophets. We cannot say “why?”

So everything in our lives depends on sincerity. If people don’t have sincerity in their heart it means they do something to show people but in their heart is something else. That is why there is always conspiracy between groups, Muslim and non-Muslim. Between Muslims there are groups doing conspiracy between non-Muslims there are groups having conspiracy because there is no taqwa.

Allah said, ittaqullah wa yu`allimakumullah. Allah will teach us everything bad that harms us in our life. That is why Allah said, fa alhamaha fujooraha. Allah inspires you of its rebellion and its sincerity. qad aflaha man zakaaha wa qad khaaba man dassaaha. Fa alhamaha fujooraha… The one who purified it and reached taqwa succeeds. The one who didn’t will fall. So Allah is teaching you, when he said, ittaqullah wa yu`allimakumullah. He is teaching you, “this is bad. Go away from it” and He shows you the good. The negative and the positive.

Everything in this life Allah created in pairs. Everything. Even what you do has positive and negative. You have good thoughts and bad thoughts. You have good life or bad life. You have anything that must be in two. Husband and wife. Trees are the same. Animals the same. Must be in pairs, everything.

I am surprised when you look into science and you look into biology how these insects they reproduce? How? It is completely beyond imagination. Look at these silk worms. How it goes into its cocoon and then change into a butterfly and then lays eggs and they hatch and comes hundreds and hundreds of worms. Who is giving that? Who is behind that?

These birds. You see them. They are not like animals, like mammals. How do they reproduce? If there is a male bird the egg will fertilize. If there is no male bird the egg will not fertilize.

Fish. Subhanallah. This is Allah’s teaching us thru sciences to look forward to that One who is giving that driving force. Because they found now that in every cell there is a driving force.

It is made of soil, OK, we see the cell is there. But there is a force in it, that energy that soul, is going there. That child in the womb of the mother, after a little bit of time the soul comes. From where? No one knows the time, the moment that the soul will hit inside. Allah swt is great that no one can understand except to be sincere. That is what we need to know. To be sincere with each other, to be sincere with our community, with our families, with our children and try not to make a conspiracy or then someone will come to make conspiracy on you.

Allah does not leave anyone. Especially from Ummat an-Nabi (s). I was in San Francisco and they had milaad in mosque and they asked a question: what is going wrong with the Muslim Ummah always falling down?

I said, “Everyone questions that question and Allah said, “qad ja’a al-haqq wa zahaqa al-baatil inna al-baatil kaana zahooqa – Verily Truth has come and Falsehood has vanished. Truly Falsehood is bound to perish.”

Baatil is on the way, going to be down. But we are down and we are Muslim. That mean we are not doing correct. We are not trying to do our best. We are only trying to find mistakes with each other and hit hard with each other and then Allah is hitting us hard. Why is Allah hitting us hard and why we are falling?

[lack of sincerity.]

But we have lack of sincerity and still we are falling down and now we are being punished, but still we are being punished. We are Ummat an-Nabi (s), ummatan marhooma. Allah doesn’t want you to come on Judgment Day and any sin on you that is why facing these difficulties as that is waiving sins and punishing us and cleaning us. That is why many people are being cleaned in dunya, in order not to be cleaned in hellfire. In order not to be cleansed in the grave. Don’t think that anyone of Ummat an-Nabi (s) will be punished in the grave. Shafa`atee li Ahl al-kabaa’ir min ummattee.

With shafa`a of the Prophet Allah will save us in grave and Allah will save us in Judgment Day. That is why we see difficulties.

Allah said in surat ash-Sharh, “fa inna ma` al-`usri yusra – Verily with difficulty comes ease.” That means if no difficulties you will never understand ease. And then again fa inna ma` al-`usri yusra – Verily with difficulty comes ease.”

Again He put `usr first. Why He didn’t put it the other way in the second verse?

First you understand how difficulty is then you face ease. That is why many when growing up, many children faced difficulty. Show me one that did not. Most, not a few. Most are trying hard, working hard. Facing lot of difficulty - then you come to station of ease.

In dunya when you come to difficulties it is daar ash-shaqaa and akhira is daar ar-rakhaa. Place of ease. Then you will be thankful. “La’in shakartum la-azeedanakum If you are thankful then I will increase for you.”. So get difficulties and be thankful and he will give more. If you are lucky you get in dunya. But if not you get in akhira.

Those lucky say rabbana atina fi'd-dunya hasanatan wa fi'l-akhirati hasanatan wa qina `adhaab an-naar – Our Lord! Give us the good of this life and the good of the next life and protect from the chastisement of the Fire.”

 So most important is sincerity.

“Ya ayyuhalladheena aamanoo ittaqullah wa koonoo ma` as-saadiqeen – O ye who believer fear Allah and keep with the trustworthy ones.”

O you who believed. Those who believe when they are young you have to believe when you are young. When do you want to believe?

Prophet said, "the human being is born on innocence." Ether his parents will make him Zoroastrian or Jew or Christian. So you have to know your belief from childhood.

Converts also believed because they converted.

O you who believe.” It means belief is not enough. Ittaqullah. Have taqwa. Dress taqwa then be with sincere people. Then when you dress taqwa you can accompany sincere people. You have to keep al-jins ma` al-jins. Gender with gender. You cannot mix the human with animal. So everything goes with its like. So have taqwa and then you can be with the pious and sincere people.

May Allah makes us pious and sincere and that Allah guided to Islam give us ya rabbee support and taqwa and give us to differentiate Between haqq and baatil and give us from your mercy.

Bi hurmati 'l-Fatiha.
