The Forgiver Shall Be Forgiven

Brief Suhbah after Khatm

(After Maghrib Salaat)

Allah (swt) does not like anyone to oppress others. Allah likes someone to forgive another who harmed him or her, and if not, then Allah will make them fall into a problem that will make them in need to ask forgiveness.

So if anyone wrongs you in any way, by speaking badly to you or sending you an unkind letter, or even stealing from you, then the best thing is to say, “May Allah forgive you,” then Allah will forgive the one who forgivcs. You must be happy if someone does bad to you, then Allah will forgive you, and also they took your sins!

Sayyidina Dawud (a) had 99 wives, then he liked his neighbor's wife and asked his neighbor to divorce her so he could marry her. Allah sent him two angels to teach him. One said, “I have 99 sheep and my neighbor has one sheep. I want to take his sheep to add to mine.” So Allah said, “You cannot do that, you made a mistake,” and immediately Sayyidina Dawud (a) went into sajda (prostration) and asked forgiveness from Allah, Who forgave him.

When an issue happens, we must forgive and not keep any ill will or bad in the heart. The oppressed and the oppressor: we are one group, so for Allah's sake, for the Prophet's sake and for Mawlana's sake, we must forgive each other. This is enough!

Wa min Allahi 't-tawfeeq, bi hurmati 'l-habeeb, bi hurmati 'l-Fatihah.
