A`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytaani ‘r-rajim. Bismillahi 'r-Rahmaani 'r-Raheem. SubhaanAllah, the worst of enemies to Mankind is the ego, but people do not think and that is astonishing! SubhaanAllahi ‘l-`Aliyyu 'l-`Azheem. Laa ilaaha illa-Llah Sayyidina Muhammadan Rasoolullah.
(Mawlana Shaykh stands.) Yaa Rabbee! Spare us and grant us the strength to worship and obey You. Bestow upon Your Beloved Prophet more praises, more honor, and more heavenly lights and pleasure. If it was not for the association of rijaalAllah, the Men of Allah, life would not be; it would be a wasted life. (Mawlana Shaykh sits)
SubhaanAllah, human beings are seldom thankful! People think the life of dunya is to come and go, but only a few think about the reality of dunya and what it carries from different types of ferocious animals, some of which can fly, some swim, or some run. However, human beings in our time are no longer using their brains to think. Most people are being ridden by their egos and by Shaytan. Shame on most of them!
Allah (swt) said:
خَلَقَ الْإِنسَانَ
Khalaqa al-insaan.
He created Man. (ar-Rahman, 55:3)
Allah (swt) created Adam, as He is the Creator. There is no Creator except Allah (swt); they do not think! The Prophet (s) said:
تفكر ساعة خير من عبادة سبعين سنة
Tafakkarru sa`atan khayrun min `ibaadati saba`een sannah.
To remember Allah (swt) for one hour (contemplate or meditate) is better than seventy years of worship.
In these times people have left thinking and Shaytan made them take so many wrong ways for the sake of keeping them busy and away from the truth, and people think they were created or came to this world by chance! I am asking, did you come down in a basket from the skies? This is what they think. How is this possible? They have no reasoning and when there is no reasoning, human beings cannot succeed because thinking gives direction towards haqq and baatil, right or wrong. As soon as you think, you will find truth and be able to distinguish it from falsehood. If you contemplate, you will find out who is wrong and who is right, but now we are in a time where people have no reasoning. How could this be?
What do they think of this world? They do not teach them! Shaytan keeps them busy with things that have no taste. They filled the world with schools, but what do they teach? They teach nothing! They are just keeping people busy with things that do not concern them and have no meaning for them. The lowest level of what they do has no meaning. Originally, all human beings must leave what does not concern them, as the Prophet (s) said about the sign of a good Muslim:
من حسن إسلام المرء ترك ما لا يعنيه
Min husni islaam al-maruw tarku maa laa ya`neehu.
From the perfection of one’s Islam, is to leave matters that don't concern him.
People living in dunya now are not keeping themselves busy with what concerns them. On the contrary, Shaytan occupies them with forbidden things that harm and do not benefit them, yet they say, “Now the world has reached the top point of civilization!” Does ‘Civilization’ mean to keep people busy with what doesn’t concern them? Shaytan makes them busy and the majority of them have become donkeys of Shaytan, working for him and not working for Allah (swt) or the Prophet (s). What is this foolishness? How can anyone say, "We have reached the top point of civilization”? What have you reached? Most of you have become the donkeys of Shaytan, and you say, “We have reached the top point, we are working people.” No, you are working for Shaytan from west to east!
The Islamic world is also working for Shaytan and now no one cares to work for his Lord with the symbols of Islam that Allah has ordered! How can they say they have reached the peak, the highest point of civilization. What peak? When you become Shaytan’s donkey, have reached the highest point? When you become Shaytan’s donkey you say, “We have reached the highest point of development; no one before us has reached the level we have reached.”
The donkeys of Shaytan are unlimited in number. O you donkeys, the Quraysh [of the Era of Ignorance] of our time! In the past, people used to ride their egos and control it, but now you are letting Shaytan ride you! You have become the donkey of Shaytan and are proud, saying, “We reached the highest point of civilization.” Mashaa-Allah, what is your civilization? People are not doing any work for Allah (swt), or for the sake of the Prophet (s), for humanity, for civilization, and they say, “We have reached to the highest point of civilization.” Congratulations! Mashaa-Allah, congratulations that you have become the donkey of Shaytan! Now let him ride on you, O animal!
Shaytan has made people his donkeys from east to west. There are no Arabs, Turks, Muslims, Christians, Syriacs, or Jews left; they have all become Shaytan’s donkeys, not servants to Islamic Shari`ah. They are not asking to be servants to their Lord; they left worship to be in the station of donkeys, saying, “This station is the highest point of civilization,” the maqaam of the donkeys, and Shaytan is the donkey of the ego, so congratulations! You have become the donkey of Shaytan, or the donkey of your ego, or the donkey of your women! Welcome! Congratulations to the people of civilization, you now have your own teacher! Who is your teacher? Shaytan is your head teacher! They don't listen to prophets or saints and became workers for Shaytan and are proud of that station. If you ask them to serve their Lord, they say, "We have no time because we are busy serving the ‘donkeyness’ of Shaytan. We have no time or chance to get busy with the Orders of Heavens, the Orders of Heavenly Dominions! No, we are busy." This is their attribute! Na`oodhu billah!
إِذْ قَالُواْ لِنَبِيٍّ لَّهُمُ ابْعَثْ لَنَا مَلِكًا نُّقَاتِلْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ
Idh qaaloo li-nabiyyan lahum ib`ath lanaa malikan nuqaatil fee sabeelillah.
They said, "Appoint for us a king and we will fight in Allah's Way!" (al-Baqarah, 2:246)
Allahuma laa takilnaa ilaa anfusina tarfa `aynin, “O our Lord, do not leave us to our egos even for a blink of an eye.” A blink of an eye is enough to make anyone the donkey of Shaytan. This is important; this association that we are speaking in has meanings about Earth and Heavens, and everything, but there is no one to listen or believe what we are saying.
O Arabs! O Believers! Why did you leave that honor and follow Shaytan and your egos and your desires to become hostages to your world? The Prophet (s) said:
الدنيا جيفة و طلابها كلابها
Ad-dunya jeefatun wa tulaabuhu kilaabuha.
This dunya is like a carcass and its seekers are dogs!
"The world is deceiving and it is a carcass for dogs." May Allah forgive us, bi jaahi man anzalta `alayhi, Surat al-Fatihah.
These are inspirations coming from above, not from ourselves; they come to teach the truth and to explain our situation in the world now. Pity! Amaan yaa Rabbee, tawbah yaa Rabbee! What did the Prophet (s) say? Allahuma laa takilnaa ilaa anfusina tarfa `aynin, “O our Lord, do not leave us to our egos even for a blink of an eye.” Sadaqa rasoolullah, the Messenger (s) spoke the truth!
