We Must Try to Maintain the Title "Deputy on Earth"

Sultan al-Awliya

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim al-Haqqani

11 October 2010 Lefke, Cyprus

Dastoor yaa Sayyidee, madad. (Mawlana Shaykh stands) Laa hawla wa laa quwwata illa billah `Aliyyu 'l-`Azheem. Laa ilaha illa-Llah, laa ilaha illa-Llah, laa ilaha illa-Llah Muhammad Rasoolulllah `alayhi salaatullah, wa 's-salaamu `alaa saa'iri 'l-anbiya-i wa 'l-mursaleen wa khudamaa'i shara`eeyahim wa `ala kullu 's-saaliheen, `aabideen, zaahideen, mu'mineen,. Yaa Rabbee! Narjoo rahmatak wa nakhshaa `adhaabak. Inna `adhaabaka jidda bi 'l-kuffaari mulhiq. Amaan yaa Rabbee! Tawbah, yaa Rabbee. And we are saying, a`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytani 'r-rajeem. Bismillahi 'r-Rahmaani 'r-Raheem. (Mawlana Shaykh sits) Al-himnaa rushdanaa.

O Saahib al-Waqt! O Saahib az-Zamaan! As-salaamu `alayka wa `alaa khulafaa'ik wa `alaa kullun awliyaa `alayhimu 'r-ridwaan, madad. Madad, yaa Saahib az-Zamaan. As-salaamu `alaykum yaa `ibaadAllah as-Saaliheen!

O our Attenders from Mankind and jinn! As-salaamu `alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh. Welcome to Gardens of Paradise! That is Holy Prophet's good tidings, of the Gardens of Jannah, Paradise.

O People! You are asking to sit in Paradise gardens, to look where even a handful of people are sitting, listening to heavenly words of prophets, peace be upon them, and from holy books that Allah Almighty sent to His servants to know the ways of Paradise. We are asking for Paradise and we fear Hellfire!

إِنَّ بَطْشَ رَبِّكَ لَشَدِيدٌ

Inna batsha rabbika la-shadeed

Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of your Lord. (85:12)

O our Lord! Forgive us and grant us from Mercy Oceans, not to fall into Hellfire! It is not easy (to avoid), and the prophets are not joking; they are speaking realities! One of the greatest specialties they have been granted is to speak the truth and do everything on the true way. True ways are suitable to the holy orders of Heavens.

O People! You must try to do everything suitable to heavenly orders.

O Salafi `ulamas! Marhaban. As-salaamu `alaykum. (Mawlana Shaykh stands) And we are saying, Bismillahi 'r-Rahmaani 'r-Raheem. (Mawlana Shaykh sits) Look and listen and try to understand, because you are claiming you understand and know. Look at what the holy books are saying, that people must try to make and follow everything according to heavenly orders. Therefore, we must call people, first of all to say to them, "O People! Come! You are working and doing so many things, but are you malahazha, observing if what you are doing is suitable to heavenly orders and measures, or are you doing everything as you like?" No, no. No believer is going to do anything from their egoistic desires as that is haraam. You must ask and try to know, "Is my work suitable for heavenly orders and heavenly measures?"

O People! You can't accept to make even one step in any direction if it is not suitable for heavenly measures. Yes, holy measures, Shari`atullah, tries to teach people how to take their steps! You can't take a wrong step if you follow it.

O Salafi `ulamas! You must tell people what are the heavenly measures for servants of our Lord. For example, a servant of a king can't step through the entrance, the main door; that is closed to him. That door opens when the sultan is sitting there. You can't see any servant of the king or sultan walking the way he was walking before he reached that point. When it is opening and he is asking to reach the sultan, he must keep adab, protocols for servants. Are we servants or not? Are you speaking on that point? Mukallaf, those responsible for servanthood, every moment from them must be suitable for heavenly protocol, adab.

O People! We are not animals; they haven't any responsibility because they are animals, but Mankind, you are not animals! You are special creatures; you have been specialized by the Lord of Heavens. That is an honor even the angels have not been granted. Allah Almighty is making you deputy, according to Holy Qur'an:

إِنِّي جَاعِلٌ فِي الأَرْضِ خَلِيفَةً

Innee ja`ilun fi 'l-ardi khaleefah.

I will create a vicegerent on Earth. (al-Baqara, 2:30)

But it is not making it clear about khalifah to whom? That is an important point. We refer to "khalifatullah," but that is a title. Allah, Allah! I do not remember that Rasoolullah (s) ever said, "I am khalifatullah," except it was for his nation to keep their highest honor and highest title, so they will train everyone to know how they should behave in the best way as servants of their Lord Almighty. And everything is for their Lord Almighty, but they have been granted an honor to be khalifatullah. Dhaka tashreefun, that is an honor. Really it can't be, but it is an honor that it has been said, "khalifatullah." Allahu Akbar. Allahu Akbar wal Akbar. It is an honor and we must try to keep it and real ihtiraam, highest respect to our Creator, Allah Almighty. (Mawlana Shaykh stands and sits) Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Subhaan Allah, Sultaan Allah. Therefore, there are rules for deputies of heavens living on this planet and how they should be with their highest respectful title.

Therefore, all prophets came to teach Mankind, calling them, "Come! (Mawlana Shaykh stands) Say, La ilaaha illa-Llah Muhammadun Rasoolullah (s)." (Mawlana Shaykh sits) The highest honor will be granted after this. No one can take any honor without saying, La ilaaha illa-Llah Muhammadun Rasoolullah. All prophets brought to their nations the teachings from heavenly rules, how they should be with their Lord's servanthood. All holy books came only to teach people servanthood, nothing else!

O Salafi `ulamas! What are you doing? Say, is it true or not? Why are you not mentioning to your mulook, to your umarrah and top, so-proud people, teaching them, "You are a servant and the Lord of Heavens is asking from you servanthood. Don't say, 'I am malik, king.' No! Real heavenly measures were granted to you with servanthood, and nothing else."

O Salafi `ulamas! What is your position? Why aren't you saying to them, "Everything you do and make must be suitable for heavenly orders. Everything that is not suitable for heavenly orders is fashal, failing, not accepted." There are orders for angels: "Throw those worlds into Hells! It is not for Me! If My servants are doing only for Me, keep it. If they are not doing for Me, throw them away!" That is the Heavenly Scale.

وَوَضَعَ الْمِيزَانَ

Wa wada`a 'l-meezaan.

And He has set up the Balance. (ar-Rahman, 55:7)

Common people do not know the importance of meezaan. `Ulamas have the most important responsibility to teach people about the Heavenly Scale for everything they do, from top to bottom. We must learn about this, because we have lost the real balance of `uboodiyyah, servanthood. Now you can't find servants or even followers of servanthood. What is your hope, to be such a people? How are you expecting mercy from Heavens to come on them? Only cursing is coming, from east to west, north to south, especially on Arabs, Turks, Pakistanis, Hindustanis, and others. Do you think mercy is coming on them? Cursing is coming on them!

O our Salafi `ulamas!

وَذَكِّرْ فَإِنَّ الذِّكْرَى تَنفَعُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

wa-dhakkir fa inna 'dh-dhikra tanfa`u 'l-mu'mineen.

And remind (them), for reminding benefits the believers. (Adh-Dhariyat, 51:55)

O Salafi `ulamas, Azhar ash-Shareef `ulamas, Damascus `ulamas! You say no one is listening. Yes, it is our fault, because we are not doing as we are saying. No one is following, because they are following dunya, running after dunya. Ad-dunya daarun liman laa daara lah, "The world is a home for those who have no home." Today we are here in dunya and tomorrow we will be taken away. Why are you working only for dunya? Why are you not making clear for Mankind their missions? Some say, "If we do not work, how are we going to live in dunya?" I am saying speak to them forcefully, because you must awaken them! Allah Almighty is Qadiran Muqtadir, He can do everything!

Once disciples of Jesus Christ (a) asked, "O Jesus! Do you think the Lord of Heavens can send us a tray? Can He do this?" Allah! Subhaan Allah! They were disciples, always with Jesus Christ (a), asking him, "Can your Lord send us a tray?" Suhbaan Allah.

O Salafi `ulamas! Make it clear for ummat al-habeeb. They are asking, hal yastatee`u, "Is your Lord able?" They lived with him, and yest they asked a nonsense question. That means they are not understanding anything, although they were disciples. "Does He have the power to send us one tray?" What is that question? What did they understand from Jesus Christ (a)? So many were with him and they never understood that Allah Almighty is Mutaqaddir. What is the position of the Christian world about the disciples when they asked Jesus Christ (a), "Can your Lord send us a tray?" If you are asking someone living on Earth to send one tray, you are content as he is the richest man. You may knock on his door and ask his servant, "Can he send us one tray?" Where is your understanding?

O Salafi `ulamas! O al-Azhar `ulamas! Why aren't you saying? Make it clear, Who is able to send our rizq? Ignorant people may ask, "If we are not working, how can we live?" They are on the lowest level and their understanding is at the level of animals, never going up. In the whole world now, people are thinking if they are not working, they are never getting up. But I am saying to them that if Allah closes the sky and there is no rain, how will your lives go on? If the rains are not coming, is your work making you live?

O Salafi `ulamas! Make it clear to people, Huwa 'r-Razzaaq, "He is The Provider." And what did Jesus Christ answer? Not saying anything.

Qaala `isaa ibn maryam allahuma rabbanaa anzil `alayna maa'idatan min as-samaai yakoona `eidan li awwalina wa aakhirinaa.

Isa the son of Mary said, "O our Lord! Send us a tray from the sky to be a feast for the first of us and the last of us." (al-Ma'idah, 5:114)

Jesus Christ asked from his Lord, "O our Lord, send us." Allah Almighty's trays are from east to west, from north to south. How we are saying that? From where do those trays come that we are eating, from another one? Jesus Christ, peace be upon him, was speaking according to the people's level of understanding. He said this and the heavenly trays descended. "Look at them. Every day, from Whose tray are you eating? O ignorant ones!" That is to the disciples also, to ignorant ones. (Mawlana Shaykh laughs)

(Mawlana Shaykh stands) Laa hawla wa la quwatta illa billahi 'l-Aliyyu 'l-`Azheem. (Mawlana Shaykh sits)

Fatihah. Tawbah, yaa Rabbee! Tawbah, yaa Rabbee! Tawbah, yaa Rabbee!

(40 minutes) We must understand, this message is like oceans. We can't speak more than this; my body can't carry more. Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar! Tawbah yaa Rabbee, tawbah, astaghfirullah.

(Mawlana Shaykh prays two raka`at Salaat ash-Shukr.)
