Find the Universe Within You

Sultan al-Awliyaa

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim al-Haqqani

27 May 2010 Lefke, Cyprus

Allah Allah Allah Allah. yaa Rabb... dastoor (Mawlana Shaykh stands.)

Laa ilaaha illa-Llah. Laa ilaaha illa-Llah. Laa ilaaha illa-Llah Muhammadun Rasoolullah `alayhi salaatullahi wa salaamuh. Thumma as-salaam `alaykum yaa `ibaadallahi 's-saaliheen amadnaa madadikum. (Mawlana Shaykh sits.)

As-salaamu `alaykum attenders! As-salaamu `alaykum believers! Madad yaa Sultaanu 'l-Awliyaa. We are in need of your support for declaring something that we are in need of. And we are saying a`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytani 'r-rajeem. Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem. (Mawlana Shaykh stands and sits.) Give us your support, O our responsible one for all Mankind on this planet.

O People! Nothing is created without wisdom and nothing is coming in existence with the Lord of Heavens not knowing it, can't be, can't be! Therefore, we are saying a`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytani 'r-rajeem. The creation of Shaytan also is not without wisdom. There is munajaat, a declaration, as Allah (swt) said in Holy Qur’an:

الَّذِينَ يَذْكُرُونَ اللّهَ قِيَامًا وَقُعُودًا وَعَلَىَ جُنُوبِهِمْ وَيَتَفَكَّرُونَ فِي خَلْقِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ رَبَّنَا مَا خَلَقْتَ هَذا بَاطِلاً سُبْحَانَكَ فَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ

Alladheena yadhkuroonullah qiyaaman wa qu`oodaan wa`ala junoobihim wa yattafakkaroona fee khalqi 's-samawaati wa 'l-ard,rabbanaa maa khalaqta haadhaa baatilan subhanaka fa qinaa `adhaba 'n-naar.

Those who remember Allah (always, and in prayers) standing, sitting, and lying down on their sides, and think deeply about the creation of the heavens and the Earth, (saying), "Our Lord! You have not created (all) this without purpose, glory to You! (Exalted be You above all that they associate with You as partners). Give us salvation from the torment of the Fire. (`Ali Imraan, 3:191)

O Attenders from among Mankind, as well as from jinn taa`ifa, jinns also! Beware of forgetting the wisdom of your existence. Nothing is coming into existence without a wisdom or with baatil, falsehood. And originally nothing is coming into existence by itself, his or herself; it can't be. We are creatures and for every creature there must be a Creator, even the smallest stone for the building of our universe. This universe is a huge existence that no one knows its beginning or ending and no one knows its limits. That is a sign of Allah's Greatness, al-`azhaamatu li-Llah. No one knows the beginning or end of this universe. What is the universe? It is only a sign of the Creator, that He Almighty, if He asks to bring something in existence, says, Kun! fayakoon. "'Be!' and it will be," as He likes, the universe is coming in existence.

O our Attenders from learned ones, Mankind or from angels! No one knows their beginning or ending because they are in the Mighty Hands of the Creator. Only He (swt) knows which thing is coming into existence and which one of them is standing, and which one is leaving and disappearing. Existence comes from invisible directions, becomes visible, and after a while passes away and becomes invisible again. Therefore, nothing in existence is ever created without a meaning, a target, a purpose, and without a wisdom. Everyone is our Lord's Creation. He knows every atom and the purpose of its existence, as nothing is without a purpose. Every atom carries a wisdom which is not the same for a second one. Therefore, if our hearts' power is opened and in connection with heavenly existence, sometimes from someone, so many things are coming and passing. Such things come in my memory and I am thinking.

For example, about the placement of atoms in hydrogen, I am asking scientists why each hydrogen atom is in its special position? Why are they not coming to be one? And every element, reaching a hundred and more according to Mendeleev's Periodic Table, dhaalika mablaghahum min al-`ilm, is the limit of your understanding or according to the capacity of your knowledge, O learned people. You are knowing this. The Lord of Heavens is saying, dhaalika mablaghahum, "that you have reached," but you can't say this is the last point and beyond it is nothing. Mendeleev is saying there are 90 elements, more or less. Who can say that hydrogen is the first and nothing is before it? No one can say. You may say that that is the first element and there are 95 remaining elements. Who gave you authority to say, “As I am finding this table, there is nothing before or after this. Hydrogen is the first element." Why is hydrogen in its position and always single? Who is giving to hydrogen that singleness? And who may say that before it is nothing, and after it is also limited? No.

ذَلِكَ مَبْلَغُهُم مِّنَ الْعِلْمِ

Dhaalika mablaghahum min al-`ilm.

That is as far as knowledge will reach them. (53:30)

O `Ulamas! What was the Seal of Prophets (s) saying? (Mawlana Shaykh stands.)

تفكر ساعة خير من عبادة سبعين سنة

tafakkur sa’atin khayrun min `ibaadati saba`eena sannah,

One hour of reflection is better than seventy years of worship.

(Mawlana Shaykh sits.) Do you think on such a point? And no one knows the beginning and the ending of the rivers of knowledge granted to Mankind. Tafakkur, to think on how to find new keys to reach heavenly treasures of wisdoms. Tafakkur, think on it (contemplate)! Then you may say, "O our Lord, we are nothing, we know nothing and we are asking to be nothing, because we can't carry this!” Allah Almighty asked Mankind about His heavenly oath, “From all Creation, who can carry My trust, amaanati?” No one except Mankind accepted to carry it. The whole universe could not carry it, but Man accepted it. That means it opened unlimited distances for Man. Therefore, first you may reflect about yourself and consider the authority of Man, where it may reach; from where it began and where it is going to end, is it in limits or up to unlimited distances?

So many Arabic `ibaarah, expressions, coming as some of those people whom they are understanding, reaching, to heavens. And they are saying:

تحسب أنك جرم صغير وفيك انطوى العالم الأكبر

tahsabu annaka jirmun sagheer wa feeka antawa al-`alam al-akbar,

You believe that you are a tiny particle and within you Truth is unfolding from beginning to end.

Are you understanding, Salafi `ulamas? tahsabu annaka jirmun sagheer wa feeka antawa al-`alam al-akbar,

"Do you think you are a speck when the whole universe is contained in you?"

To reach from beginning up to end, because distances for the Lord of Creation are unlimited, but for Mankind everything even if it appears unlimited it is not, it is in limits. That is something they are giving me to speak, because you must know more, much more, much more about your Creator! (Mawlana Shaykh stands.) Allahu Akbar, Allah Subhaanahu wa t`Aala! (Mawlana Shaykh sits.)

Look to yourself; you may understand. You are the key you need for understanding everything around you or everything that you are in. You must know the key for that treasure and you may find in yourself countless universes, and in every universe you will find an opening for you, a new understanding, bringing nooraniyah, a new lightening to yourself! Therefore, think about everything! We are speaking in such a way that is very simple. We are looking at ourselves as an atom, but a big universe is coming and we may be in it. Is it possible? According to our capacity of understanding, it is impossible, but for the Lord of Heavens, the Creator of Creation, it is so easy. He may put in you a big universe and then it is not necessary for you to look through big telescopes, to see what is happening, what is this or that, no. You may look inside yourself and you may find everything outside is within you!

SubhaanAllah. Allahu akbar, wa lillahi 'l-hamd! Now, why are we saying hydrogen atoms or oxygen atoms, iron atoms, sodium atoms, gold atoms (individually)? Why they are not coming all together to be one big atom? If they are in such a way, everyone in their real being, it is only "one" in existence. Therefore, regarding out-looking (outward appearance) you may say, “This is okay, hydrogen atoms,” but you can't see as they should be in one big position, or that it may be one big hydrogen atom. Why? Making them different, different, different. That means each atom has a special being, a special wisdom and a different tasbeeh, glorification. Therefore, it is not going to be all together. Like Mankind, each human being is carrying a special glorification, a special name, but each one is different, each one's tasbeeh is different. But on simplification, to say each one is the same? No. Every one has a special tasbeeh, glorifying. What is the benefit of that being granted to everyone? As a wisdom, you may consider a garden or two. Going through one garden it is exclusively pine trees, and in another you can find 40 different kinds of trees. Which one is much more attractive to people? That one.

Therefore, the Lord of Heavens is giving such an authority for Mankind, and also to every atom, a special being, to be an example of the Lord's Greatness, because everyone is making a special singing. You may see a person only making... (Mawlana hums). This is very simple. Another, Dum! Dum! Dum! Dum! The more kinds of instruments, the more the glory that is going to appear. Therefore, all of them glorify in such a way, at their own levels. Therefore, to keep the most praised and glorified heavenly kingdom of Allah Almighty through yourself is impossible. How many countless levels it has?

May Allah forgive us. Astaghfirullah, astaghfirullah, astaghfirullah.

(Mawlana Shaykh sings.)

Dome, dome, dome, dome

Dome, dome, dome, dome

Dome, dome, dome, dome

Dome, dome, dome, dome

Dome, dome, dome, dome

Dome, dome, dome, dome

Dome, dome, dome, dome

Dome, dome, dome, dome

Thank you for your attending, mashaa-Allah. What are they understanding? Understanding nothing, but we must hear.

(Mawlana Shaykh prays two raka`ats Salaat ash-Shukr.)
