Kun m`a Allah, Be with Allah!

Sultan al-Awliya

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim al-Haqqani

13 January 2009 Lefke, Cyprus

(Mawlana Shaykh stands). Dastoor yaa Sayyidee, madad. Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, laa ilaaha illa-Llah, Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, wa lillaahi ‘l-hamd! O our Lord! We are asking Your forgiveness and Your blessings, for the honor of the most honored one through Your Divine Presence, Sayyidina Muhammad (s). O Allah! Grant to him more blessings, more glory and all praisings! We love him and You love those who love him. O our Lord! Grant us from Your endless Mercy Oceans. (Mawlana Shaykh sits.)

O Our Listeners! Give your attention to what is important in the Divine Presence. O our master, who is controlling this planet and everything on Earth and through the oceans, you are looking for all Creation; they may be needy, and you are taking and giving, granting them what is necessary for them.

As-salaamu ` alaykum, O our listeners! Take your attention. Don’t think about anything else but this life and when it is going to end. Don’t think for tomorrow, and what is your work or business; they are nothing! But think, perhaps tomorrow you are going to be taken from this life to another life. Think on it. You may be taken from this life to another life so quickly that you will not know it; Laysa 'l-khabaru ka 'l-`ayaan, some knowledge that you are knowing, in reality is something else. O Salafi `ulama! You are understanding what that means? Laysa 'l-khabaru ka 'l-`ayaan. We are on the level of hearing now, not on the level of looking and seeing. Therefore, there are two levels for ‘living’ people. One of them is such news, not the BBC News; it is heavenly news reaching people and only the prophets may understand and listen and be able to declare. Therefore, what you need now is news about the coming days, about the future. They are only reading or hearing, but not seeing and not touching or not yet entering in it. Until we are going to enter in it, you can’t reach (the Station of) Haqqu ’l-Yaqeen.

There are three levels: `Ilmu‘l-Yaqeen, `Aynu ‘l-Yaqeen and Haqqu ‘l-Yaqeen. Very few people have the level of `Ilmu ‘l-Yaqeen. Yaqeen means something in which there is no doubt (certainty). We are trying to climb to that level. What we are living in now is known as `Ilmu ‘l-Yaqeen (Station of Certainty); to have no doubt through our knowledge. We are only knowing this, but further than that level is `Aynu ‘l-Yaqeen; like a person who knows there is the Pacific Ocean, not seeing it yet, but knowing only. The first level is to know and when you are knowing something, Shaytan is coming to make it upset, giving people some lies, cheating and making them doubt. Shaytan may say, “You ever see Pacific Ocean? No. I am min an-naasiheen, an advisor to people; look to me and don’t run to such things or believe in anything you are not seeing.”

That is the level of 21st century people! They are always in doubt because their teacher, Shaytan, is teaching them and saying, “Don’t believe anything that you are not seeing, touching and reaching.” A` oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytaani ‘r-rajeem. May Allah protects us to not follow shaytanic teachings! All crises, suffering and terrible happenings through life on this planet are the result of shaytanic teachings. As much as a person is saying yes to Shaytan, he is falling into more troubles. Who is on the top point and the first one to be a troublemaker? It is Shaytan. As long as people are following that one, saying, “You are alright,” na`oodhu billah, they are falling through more troubles and Trouble Oceans that are covering this whole planet. They are saying that now oceans going to be from five (to) four oceans, and one continent, less or more; that is their thinking. But Shaytan’s Trouble Oceans cover continents and oceans! You can find Shaytan’s Trouble Oceans everywhere: through your homes, streets, villages, mountains, fields and gardens, through big and gigantic cities, you can find Trouble Oceans for Mankind. Wherever you are putting your feet, you should find Shaytan’s Trouble Oceans, always making trouble for you, not to be in rest. Therefore, it is common knowledge among awliyaa that Shaytan is the main troublemaker on this planet; you can find that one everywhere.

O Salafi `ulama! Do you think when you are addressing people, your assembly or meeting is safe from Shaytan and shaytanic troubles, tricks and traps? I am surprised, I must ask the Salafi `ulama. (laughter) Are you fearing Shaytan? Never. Is he fearing from you? What do you think? Say! You can’t say, “Yes.” He is never fearing you, especially Salafi ` ulama. When Salafi ` ulama are sitting, Shaytan is coming with his group and sitting in the first circle. And when you open your mouth and don’t say, a` oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytaani ‘r-rajeem, he begins to throw something into your heart that gives you doubt or at least gives doubt for your attendees! But the attendees are fearing from Salafi ` ulama! Therefore, are asking and saying nothing. Shaytan is never fearing from Salafi ` ulama, only from such an `alim that Allah Almighty is describing:

إِنَّمَا يَخْشَى اللَّهَ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ الْعُلَمَاء

asta`eedhu billah, innama yakhsha 'Llaha min ` ibaadihi ’l-`ulamaah

Those truly fear Allah, among His servants who have knowledge. (35:28)

How are they? Those learned ` ulama, whose hair is standing from khashiyah, the fear of their Lord? They are such a people! The Salafi ` ulama are mostly objecting on tariqahs (which is) just a training for common Muslims. We are in the Naqshbandi Order trying to follow them and it is so difficult, but we like to follow good ones and are asking forgiveness from Allah Almighty that we are not able to follow such selected ones through the Divine Presence. One, a gigantic personality, Abdul Khaliq al-Ghujdawani (q), was saying, nazar bar qadam. “O followers of our Way, don’t glance to the far right or the far left side when walking; look at your footsteps.” For what? You must be ashamed to look here and there, in front of Almighty Allah, your Lord. Just as a servant who is asking to enter a sultan’s honorable presence is never looking to the right or the left, going like this (Mawlana glances down). Originally he was a man like you but his title is “Sultan.” He had been dressed and given such an honor and you are giving your best adab, respect for that one.

I don’t think that any Salafi ` alim is coming in front of his jalaalatu ‘l-malik Abdullah, ayyadahullah, because his face is a good face and he is saahib ma`roof . No one is going to him and coming out without reaching something from that malik. Anyone from the ` ulama may go in front of him and look here and there? Is that adab?

Therefore, hudood Allah is to be with Allah (swt). That is a very important point, kun m` a Allah. Is it true or not? If it is true, keep yourself from bad actions. Kun m` a Allah! That is a holy command to all. You must try to be with your Lord, Allah Almighty, thumma tooboo ilayh, and when you are with Him, He will give you amaan, safety here and Hereafter.

Look at what tariqahs are teaching, and you are saying, “We are Salafi ` ulama.” Do you ever say such a thing to your people? Look at how they walk, because they have some million riyals or dollars or euro or cups full of gold. You are so proud, you never are going like this (Mawlana lowers head and eyes). You are saying, “What Shaykh is saying, ‘we are not such a person,’ that is for servants. We are not servants, we are such and such a people!” Yes, if Allah has granted you something, through that grant you must be so humble towards your Lord! Kun m` a Allah! Be with Allah! Are you saying it to people or not? But the people of tariqahs are saying, “Kun.”

O our followers! We are following the Seal of Prophets (s), who was saying, “I am a servant, I am sitting like a servant and eating like a servant.”

O People! Take your good manners from the Seal of Prophets, Sayyidina Muhammad (s), who is saying, addabanee Rabbee fa ahsana taadeebee. Something I am trying to keep with myself not as a verse, but to make it as a living way for everyone. You know Arabic. I am not Arab. And Sahaaba (alayhi ridwaan) were saying, addabanaa rasoolullah, tabi` een addaban as-sahaabi ’l-kiraam, tab`i taabi` een, saying, addabana at-taabi` een, ridwaanAllahi ajma`een.

That is the way that saves people from shaytanic bad manners. The fountain of bad manners is Shaytan. Ask forgiveness and ask protection from your Lord and say, a` oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytaani ‘r-rajeem, “O our Lord! Keep us from Shaytan and his bad works.”

Salafi ` ulama! Marhaban, nasil yahu. Why are you not learning Turkish? You are learning English. Good. For what are you learning English and not Turkish? We were the nation carrying `alam a‘r-Rasool, the flag of Islam, up for 1000 years and finally khiyaanat came. Allah knows how the Flag of Rasool came down. You are learning English but not learning the Ottoman language. Who was leading and carrying the Flag of Rasool, salawaatullah was salaamu `alayh, for athousand years? Why are you not understanding? You must try to learn Turkish. “Eh... it is difficult.” No, it is not difficult. You may marry a Turkish lady and she will teach you Turkish.

Allah Almighty is going to ask you, O Salafi ` ulama, why you are not keeping the right way or teaching people the right way. O people, come and listen to that one who is the qutb, pole of this planet. Abdul Khaaliq al-Ghudjwaani (q) was saying, “O my followers, for 37 years I am not looking anywhere that is forbidden for me and through the 37 years I am never stepping on a najas, dirtiness. So many years I am trying to be with my Lord, Almighty Allah.” Are you doing that? You are always saying bid`a for tariqah . If it is bid`a, what are your ways? Your ways are haraam!

Don’t go, you and your wives and families to Europe! Allah gave you the most honored land and you are leaving and going to Europe! For what? Why are you not keeping to the holy lands; running to make your ego to be happy, enjoying? You should be asked:

وَقِفُوهُمْ إِنَّهُم مَّسْئُولُونَ

waqifoohum innahum mas’ooloon,

But stop them, for they must be asked. (37:24)

Who is first in waqifoohum? You; those who are neighbors of the holy land. Angels have been ordered (to question), waqifoohum innahum masoolun, “What you did?” You were running away, leaving holy lands and going to Europe. For what, to make Shaytan happy with you? For what you are going? Too much money. Why not giving for Allah and for His most beloved one, Sayyidina Muhammad (s)? (Mawlana Shaykh stands.)

O our listeners! Think on it, so many things we must learn. We are coming here for learning. Therefore, the first question the angels have been ordered to ask, when we are getting to Yawm al-Mahshar, the Day of Resurrection, is, “What did you learn and what did you do? They will ask what you did. If you are ` ulama you should speak on that point. All the things that are coming to my heart to speak to you are coming from the Holy Qur’an. Don’t object on it. I am knowing nothing. Everything we are speaking here, you can find proof for.

O People! Ta-addabu, take your good manners! You are here today, tomorrow you may be taken away and you may be asked what you did with your life in dunya. Do everything for Allah and live for Allah. Live for the honor of the most honored one and his way, Sayyidina Muhammad (s)! (Mawlana Shaykh stands.) May Allah forgive us.

O People! Think about something for learning, and you should be safe here and Hereafter. If not, you are going to be punished here first. The punishment is going to take lights from your faces and you will be unhappy. If not, then on the Day of Resurrection that light will be taken away and you should be in such a bad darkness.

O our Lord! Protect us and give us a chance to follow Your good servants.

Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Allah Allah, `Azeez Allah

Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Kareem Allah

Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Subhaan Allah

Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Sultaan Allah

Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Sultaan Allah

HasbunAllahu wa n`imal wakeel, laa hawla wa laa quwatta illa billahi ‘l-` Aliyyi ‘l-` Azheem.
