Alhamdulillahi rabbi ‘l `alameen wa ‘s-salaatu wa ‘s-salaamu `alaa ashrafi ’l-anbiyaa’i wa ‘l-mursaleen sayyidina wa nabiyyina muhammadin wa `alaa aalihi wa sahbihi ajma`een. Ayyuha ‘l-ikhwa fi ‘l-mashaariq al-ardi wa maghaaribihaa, ayyuha ‘l-mu’minoon, ayyuha ‘l-haflu ‘l-kareem. Alhamdulillahi ‘Lladhee hadanaa li-naraa shahra rajab haythu qaal al-nabi (s) rajabun sharullah wa sha`banu shahree wa ramadanu shahra ummatee.

Mashaa-Allah. As-salaam `alaykum wa rahmatullah. Alhamdulillah, Who let us to see the month of Rajab where Prophet (s) said, “Rajab is the month of Allah and Sha`ban is my month and Ramadan is the month of the Ummah.” Praise be to Allah (swt) Who has given us life to reach Rajab, everything is in His Hands, He is the Creator and we are His slaves. Prophet is the only servant. Of course we are `ibaadullah, Allah’s servants, but we did not reach the level of servanthood, but the level of slave, at the door of the Prophet (s). Too many things are going around, but we as Muslims know, the Prophet (s) said:

ستكون فتن كقطع الليل المظلم

There will be confusion like a chunk of dark nights.

May Allah protect Muslims everywhere not to fall into that kind of fitna. The Prophet (s) said regarding the Last Days:

يَكُونُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ السَّاعَةِ أَيَّامٌ يُرْفَعُ فِيهَا الْعِلْمُ وَيَنْزِلُ فِيهَا الْجَهْلُ وَيَكْثُرُ فِيهَا الْهَرْجُ وَالْهَرْجُ الْقَتْلُ

Just before the Hour, there will be days when knowledge will disappear, ignorance will become widespread and there will be much Harj, and Harj means killing. (Ibn Majah)

“There will be too much ignorance, knowledge will be lifted up and there will be too many killings.” This is what we are observing. And they said, “O Prophet! Does it mean the Qu’ran will be lifted up?” The Prophet (s) replied, “No, but too many scholars will die and there will be no substitutes to teach the Ummah.” Alhamdulillah that Allah did not put us in that fitna. We have to, as much as we can, be away from fitnatu ‘l-qatl that is going on in the Middle East. In any case, there are too many issues that we need to prepare ourselves for, because dunya is short. You cannot say, “Dunya is living forever.” Dunya is ending.

Allah (swt) said:

اقْتَرَبَتِ السَّاعَةُ وَانشَقَّ الْقَمَرُ

The Hour (of Judgment) is nigh and the moon is cleft asunder. (Surat al-Qamar, 54:1)

In the time of the Prophet (s), when the moon split Allah said that it is a sign that the Day of Judgement is very near. When the Prophet (s) was telling the Sahaabah (r) about Maseeh ad-Dajjal, they said they were looking in the palm trees, expecting him to come at any moment! That was in the time of the Prophet (s). The awliyaullah take the taste and interpretation of knowledge from Prophet (s). They said, “If you are waiting for faraj, relief, it is `ibaadah,” because it is a good intention to wait for ease, for relief, and that is written as `ibaadah. Sayyidina Khalid al-Baghdadi (q), 200 years ago, was the first one recorded in history who told his students to expect Mahdi (a) in his time and the Prophet (s) mentioned about al-Mahdi (a) in his time 1400 years ago. So awliyaullah take from that taste and give to their followers to prepare them to face the worst, to be able to protect themselves from anything going around them, and if they pass away before seeing Sayyidina al-Mahdi (a), then Allah will write for them as if they were in the time of Mahdi (a)! So that is the main reason or main wisdom from awliyaullah when they mention Imam Mahdi (a). Now awliyaullah are waiting.

I heard from Grandshaykh, may Allah bless his soul, that Mahdi (a) was born. He said that one day he was in seclusion and his shaykh, Shaykh Sharafuddin (q), called him out of seclusion and said, “Prepare yourself, tonight after midnight you are going with me somewhere.” And I heard that story from Grandshaykh (q) many times. For me, I believe that it happened and I am expecting it and you also, of course, because you heard it from Mawlana many times about Mahdi (a). So all of us are waiting for Mahdi (a) and Allah will give rewards according to our intentions.

Grandshaykh said, “I prepared myself, I took a shower and waited for my shaykh to come. Suddenly before Fajr prayer, Qiyamu ’l-Layl, Shaykh Sharafuddin appeared,” in a famous place in Istanbul called Yeri Altı Cami in Turkish, the underground masjid that Sayyidina `Umar Ibn al-Khattab (r) ordered renovated; it is near the harbor and three Sahaabah (r) are buried there. Grandshaykh (q) said that when Shaykh Sharafuddin (q) appeared he said, “Let us go!” and said “Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Rahim” and they both found themselves in Masjid Yeri Altı Cami and...astaghfirullah wa atoobu ilayh, this is from awliya’s secrets that they gave. He said, “Now, for those who are deniers we don’t care, for those who are mu’min (like you), we care.”

Then he said at that moment there appeared Sultan al-Jinn; there is no permission now to open his name. He was carrying a child and at that moment Grandshaykh, may Allah bless his soul, said that he and Shaykh Sharafuddin were looking and qasha`reera, shivering from the hawl al-makaan, majesty of the place. They were looking at a boy of seven days of age. At that moment 124,000 awliya appeared in the form of doves and 124,000 prophets appeared through their spiritualities and then a green appearance of the Prophet (s).

Prophet (s) called him Muhammad al-Mahdi (a) and called adhaan in his right ear and iqaamah in his left ear. He said, “From that time he is present as the Anti-Christ is present,” but the Anti-Christ, Masih ad-Dajjal is chained on an island mentioned by the Prophet (s). Sayyidina Mahdi (a) has been taken away from his family by the Sultan al-Jinn who raised him ‘there’. If anyone mentions his name he will appear in his presence and with that hikmah, wisdom on the tongue of awliya, especially the Naqshbandi awliya they mention Mahdi (a) in order that their followers will get that reward!

Good tidings for all of us that we are Ummat an-Nabi (s) and that we are waiting for the appearance of Mahdi (a)! If he comes while we are alive or comes when we are dead in Barzakh, our graves will become Paradise for Believers and we will be waiting for Mahdi (a), because he will order the Earth to bring everything hidden from treasures and there will be no one asking for money at that time. One bite of food will be sustenance for an entire forty days, not like the food today.

This Ramadan, inshaa-Allah, I might speak on either of two things: tafseer of some surahs of the Holy Qur'an or about the Signs of the Last Days, as many people don't know them and this is important to know and read. You can read the last chapters of Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim to understand some of what we are going to see in front of us.

Everything today that we see of knowledge, I will say that because Grandshaykh, may Allah bless his soul, and bless the soul of Sultan al-Awliya Mawlana Shaykh Nazim, said that there are going to be (...inaudible). Grandshaykh (q) did not study sciences, Allah opened to his heart without books or a notebook, without anything. He is not like a computer, as a computer is like a drop in front of his knowledge! He said that in that time, technology, and he used that word, “technology,” which he never used, “Allah will order jinn to improve technology so that no one can understand it and no one can know how it works and it will push the world in a different direction, and he said it is going to be so quick, because we are in the Last Days. Allah will order the jinn to improve technology on Earth in a very rapid way, and this is what we are seeing now. He said other things. He said in that time Allah will show His Miracles; for example, the watermelon will not grow on earth it will grow like a tree that will carry the watermelon, which now it cannot, it falls down. So that means the power that Earth is going to give, whatever is inside it is going to come out.

That is why there is a secret of the number ‘6’. I will ask you, perhaps you heard it or learned it, does anyone know addition? 1 + 1 = 1? [One.] Who said, “one”” Why “one”? [If you take the drops of water, they become one.] So you heard it from me, on Sufilive. Good, you are reading well. In logic you cannot say ‘two’, it is ‘one’. The two drops put together become one and by themselves they are one. So, did you hear about the six? Allah (swt) created Heavens and Earth in six days and how many verses are in the Holy Qur'an? [6,666.] Add them, 6+6+6+6 = 24, and 2+4=6. What is the secret there? Allah created Heavens and Earth in six days, so it means if you were able to decode the six, you will enter into the knowledge of how this world appeared.

Awliyaullah decoded that through their seclusions. It is not something they ‘received’, no, they struggled, they did seclusions and gave their time to their Lord and Allah rewarded them by giving them what is hidden. Which is more difficult to create, a human being or the universe? Which is bigger to create? A universe or a human being?

لَخَلْقُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ أَكْبَرُ مِنْ خَلْقِ النَّاس

La khalqu 's-samaawaati wa ‘l-ardi akbar min khalqi ‘n-naas.

Truly the creation of the Heavens and the Earth is greater than the creation of Man. (Surat Ghafir, 40:57)

“The creation of Heavens and Earth is greater than the creation of human beings,” Allah said in the Holy Qur’an. There are secrets and one of them we mention today, let’s take the Sun, for example. In every moment there are thousands and thousands of explosions of atomic reactions making the temperature of the heart of the sun 50 million degrees Centigrade. That heat comes from the sun and still it doesn't stop, it is running. What kind of fuel did Allah give to the Sun? Allah said:

لَخَلْقُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ أَكْبَرُ مِنْ خَلْقِ النَّاس

Truly the creation of the Heavens and the Earth is greater than the creation of Man. (Surat Ghafir, 40:57)

In another ayah, He said that to reach to that knowledge you have to do dhikrullah:

إِنَّ فِي خَلْقِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَاخْتِلاَفِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ لآيَاتٍ لِّأُوْلِي الألْبَابِ الَّذِينَ يَذْكُرُونَ اللّهَ قِيَامًا وَقُعُودًا وَعَلَىَ جُنُوبِهِمْ وَيَتَفَكَّرُونَ فِي خَلْقِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ رَبَّنَا مَا خَلَقْتَ هَذا اطِلاً سُبْحَانَكَ فَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ

Behold! In the creation of Heaven and Earth, and in the alternation of night and day, there are indeed signs for men of understanding, those who remember Allah (always, and in prayers) standing, sitting and lying down on their sides, and contemplating the creation of the Heavens and the Earth, (saying), "Our Lord! You have not created (all) this without purpose! Glory to You! Give us salvation from the torment of the Fire.” (Surat Aali `Imraan, 3:190-191)

“Those who contemplate on creation of Heavens and Earth,” are the ones that have the right to make tafakkur of samaawaati wa ’l-ard, they will be given the key to understand the creation of Heavens and Earth, as Allah said it in Holy Qur'an, “standing, sitting or laying down.” It means in every moment their hearts are in dhikrullah, not like us, but like Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (q), of course. Wa yatafakkaroona fee khalqi ’s-samaawaati wa ’l-ard, “Those who contemplate on the creation of Heavens and Earth,” it will be given to them.

Prophet (s) related that ayah to Ibn `Abbas (r) and said, “What do you understand from this ayah?” He said, “Yaa Rasoolullah, everytime I look at the universe I say ‘Subhaan-Allah, how big it is!’” And Prophet (s) asked Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (r) what he understand from this ayah. Sayyidina Abu Bakr (r) said, “Yaa Rasoolullah, whenever I read that ayah, I shiver when I think that one day Allah is going to judge us and I ask Allah that the heat of the Fire comes only to me and for all the Ummah be saved.” See the difference of understanding heavenly knowledge? It is not something easy.

So how many aayaat are in the Holy Qur'an? 6,666. Add them, they are six [6+6+6+6=24, 2+4=6], and what is that six? There are Six Levels in the heart, lataa’if, that everyone is carrying. I am not saying this by learning from a book, I am saying it from the teachings of Grandshaykh (q) and Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (q).

Many times I have mentioned a story from the teachings of Grandshaykh about `Abdul Khaliq al-Ghujdawani (q), whose mureed was in the masjid speaking to himself, “You are the worst that Allah has created, your shaykh tried to do everything and you have never learned anything, you are the worst!” And as he confessed to himself, speaking to his ego, at that time Sayyidina `Abdul Khaliq al-Ghujdawani (q) appeared. He is buried in Merv, near Bukhara and he said, “Now you are ready, I will now transmit to you the Six Powers.”

That is the missing part of the six that I did not mention before. There are 6,666 aayaat in the Holy Qur'an, which is six, 114 surahs which is six [1+1+4=6] and the creation of Heavens and Earth is six, so he has to give him the key, which is six. So he told him to sit on his knees, the shaykh also sat on his knees and moved his Shahadah finger and released the Six Powers into his heart. Grandshaykh (q) showed us how he turned his finger in a circle and released that energy to his heart. The Six Powers are: Haqiqat al-Jazhbah, Haqiqat al-Fayd, Haqiqat at-Tawajjuh, Haqiqat at-Tawassul, Haqiqat at-Tayy, and Haqiqat al-Irshaad. These Six Powers were immediately given, because he was saying, “I am the worst.”

He was certain of what he said; the shaykh was looking at his heart and it was not a lie, but a reality. So that made him receive from his shaykh that energy that opens the Six Levels of the Heart that I just mentioned. When he released that to him, he became so light, like Mawlana Jalaluddin ar-Rumi (q) when he whirled, like a turbine engine going up, pulling gravity instead of gravity pulling him. On the other hand, we whirl and whirl day and night, but we still remain on Earth. Jalaluddin ar-Rumi (q) was rising with his mureeds and awliya of the Naqshbandi Order are similarly rising with their mureeds, but they don't show them, they keep it hidden, as they don't want their mureeds to fall into the desire and pride of that kind of miracle. They keep it hidden for the Day of Judgement.

So when this happened to the mureed, he rose up, hit the ceiling and came down, and he said, “Are such things in Tariqah?”

The shaykh said, “You did not yet see what is in Tariqah, you are only seeing what is inside yourself. If we open that, you will be opened to the secrets of:

سَخَّرَ لَكُم مَّا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا

We subject to you whatever is in Heavens and in the Earth. (Surat al-Jaathiya, 45:13)”

Allah will make under your control what is in Heaven and in Earth. May Allah (swt) open for us these secrets! So the knowledge that we have is limited. When they open, you will get chocolates.

Wa min Allahi 't-tawfeeq, bi hurmati 'l-habeeb, bi hurmati 'l-Fatihah.
