Allahumma salli `alaa Sayyidina Muhammadin wa `alaa aali Muhammadin wa sallim. Ash-hadu laa ilaaha illa ’Llah wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan `abduhu wa Rasoolullah. Ash-hadu laa ilaaha illa ’Llah wa ashadu anna Muhammadan `abduhu wa Rasooluhu.

Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem. As-salaam `alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh. From where to begin and where to end is no longer important because confusions are everywhere. The Prophet (s) as-Saadiq al-Masdooq, the Absolute Trustworthy Person, indicated to us that confusions are coming and the people might follow them or they might be in good shape and stop (being good) to follow them, so not to go into that fitna that your self is creating within you, to burn your fingers for no reason. You know the Hadith:

من عادا لي وليا فقد آذنته بالحرب

(Allah [swt] said) Whoever comes against My wali, I declare war on him.

(Hadith Qudsi; Bukhari, from Abu Hurayrah)

The Prophet (s) said in a long Hadith, “Anyone who comes against one of My Awliya, my saints, I declare war on him.” So confusions are there and people don’t know what they have to do. The Prophet (s) advised the Sahaabah (r) about Signs of the Last Days and predicted, “Keep silent and don’t interfere,” as it is better for you to sit on your chair than to involve yourself in issues that will be like an atomic chain reaction, as soon as it is ignited it does not stop and it goes into huge confusion like what he (s) said, “Not one confusion, many confusions like chunks of dark nights.”

The one avoiding, who is sitting at home, the one relaxing and not interfering is better than the one standing and better than the one overlooking, because when you overlook you have to approach the fitna and know about it and then you might enter into it by mistake. That is like a minefield, a chain reaction, as soon as you ignite one it spreads and multiplies, not like fireworks that go up, explode and come down. This does not do that, it will spread everywhere around the world like a cancer or an octopus that has a lot of tentacles and it goes everywhere. This does not leave green or dry; like Gog and Magog, it goes everywhere. Are you ready? No one is ready. So the Prophet (s) indicated this to make sure you don’t fall into the trap of this confusion, to keep us away from it.

This Rajab tara al-`ajab, you are going to see strange events or declarations. Some of them people can see and others people cannot see except a few, but in any case, Allah does not like anyone to come against one of His Awliya. We have to be careful not to have doubt about the power of His Awliya. If there is permission, they can move mountains!

Grandshaykh `AbdAllah, may Allah bless his soul, said that the fire within the heart of Sayyidina Mahdi (a) to spread peace is so immense that he would like to immediately come to restore peace, and Sayyidina `Isa (a), Jesus, is waiting, on alert for when the permission will come to descend from Heavens to Earth to bring peace. They can bring peace because they have heavenly power! Awliya can bring peace when these two open the door, Awliyaullah can do that work, but without that permission Awliyaullah are on standby, and not with weapons, it is through hearts, from heart to heart. They declare war against egos and against bad desires, against hubb ar-riyaasa, love of leadership. There are certain groups of people today that want to sit on the chair in order to satisfy their egos that they are leaders of humanity or the Muslim Ummah. For this Rajab, Allah (swt) opened du`as and to use Allah's Beautiful Names and Attributes that can put some of this fitna down and to make sure to destroy the power of Shaytan!

Fitna is dormant and Allah cursed the one who awoke it. (ar-Rifa`ee in his Amalee)

“Fitna is dormant, Allah will curse who brings it out,” and fitna is so huge that they tried many different ways to stop it and still it is there, moving steadily like an ant, but at the end the ant’s kingdom is going to fall down. Also, Shaytan's kingdom doesn’t last because Allah (swt) is ar-Rahman ar-Raheem, The Most Beneficent, The Most Merciful!

This Rajab, the Prophet (s) authorized Awliyaullah to recite daily 100 times, “Yaa Jabbar, yaa Qahhar.” Allahumma bi jabrik wa quwaatik, yaa Allah! Allahumma amhu 'l-baatil wamhihi innaka `alaa kulli shay’in qadeer wa bi jabrika yaa Allah, yaa Jabbar, yaa Jabbar, yaa Jabbar, yaa Qahhar, yaa Qahhar, yaa Qahhar aqharhim yaa Allah! That door is open to us to recite daily, “Yaa Jabbar, yaa Qahhar, yaa Jabbar, yaa Qahhar, yaa Jabbar, yaa Qahhar” first on our ego not to deviate us, and then on all those who try to harm us as they are instruments of Iblees. Allah knows best, but there is also from the other side the Prophet (s) mentioned and indicated them to us, and they are typical of the Ahadith of the Prophet (s) when he said, salla salaatan (s) hattaa kaan al-fajr. He did not say how many raka`ats, might be two long ones, but he prayed Qiyaam al-Layl until Fajr time and recited a prayer that he never prayed like that before.

Abdullah ibn Khabaab ibn al-Art narrated from his father that the Messenger of God (s) prayed a long prayer. They said, “O Messenger of God, you prayed a prayer you have never prayed before.” He said, “Yes, it is a prayer of encouragement and fear. I asked Allah in it for three things, and He gave me two but refused one from me. I asked him not to destroy my Ummah in one go, and He agreed to it. I asked Him not overpower them with an enemy other than themselves, and He agreed to it. I asked Him not to make some of them to taste the punishment of others, and He refused me it.” (Tirmidhi)

Khabaab ibn al-Art Mawla Abi Zahra was looking at Prophet (s) and when he finished praying he said to the Prophet (s)[1], “I saw you praying a prayer that I never saw before.” The Prophet (s) said, “It is a prayer of raghabatin wa-rahabin,” to make someone interested to accept, to get something good, to make a prayer for Allah (swt) to reward you for it and in that prayer is something of hope and fear. “I asked my Lord three issues and He gave me two and He denied one.”

Whatever the Prophet (s) asked Allah, normally He gives him, but in this case Allah gave him two but denied him one. On the Day of Judgment when Ummat an-Nabi is gathered and everyone is with Prophet (s) with the Intercession in his hand, and by Allah’s permission he goes into sajda three times and three times Allah gives to him, He didn’t deny any of that. In the first sajda he recites du`a that never came to his heart before and then Allah asks him what he wants and he says, “Yaa Rabbee, I want my Ummah,” and then Allah says take one-third with no account and we ask Allah to make us among them. Then he goes into sajda again and asks again and Allah gives him one-third and in the third sajda he asks and Allah grants him the rest.

In this case the Prophet (s) asked that and Allah accepted to give him two-thirds and the other He did not. “I asked Allah (swt) to not let a non-Muslim enemy come and defeat us as a whole and Allah granted that.” In another similar Hadith the Prophet (s) says, “I asked my Lord not to punish my Ummah by drowning,” and Allah said, “I will not punish them by drowning or by plague, ta`oon, I give that to you.” Then he asked, “Don’t let the Muslim community be divided into groups that will hold swords against each other,” but Allah (swt) answered, “No, this is punishment for them.” So today what we are seeing is what the Prophet (s) predicted, a group of people using knives and swords against each other, which is why the Prophet (s) said:

إذا التقى المسلمان بسيفيهما، فالقاتل والمقتول في النار. فقيل: يا رسول الله هذا القاتل، فما بال المقتول؟! قال: إنه كان حريصاً على قتل صاحبه

The Prophet said, “If two Muslims meet each other with their swords, the killer and the one that was killed will be in the fire.” It was asked, “O Messenger of Allah, this is for the killer, but what about the one who was killed?” He said, “He intended to kill the other.” (Muslim and Bukhari)

They asked, “Why is the killed one in fire?” He (s) said, “Because if he would have killed the other,” but what saves you is to be like Haabil (Abel) with his brother Qaabil (Cain): Haabil said, “If you extend your hand to kill me, I won’t extend my hand to kill you.” Prophet (s) said, “Do like what Haabil did, don’t do what Shaytan wants, don’t extend your hand to injure anyone.” But what we are seeing today is a big fitna.

The Most Important Hadith of the Prophet (s) from the Signs of the Last Days

There will come a time upon people of cheating, in which the liar is deemed to be telling the truth, the truthful one is deemed to be lying, the traitor is deemed to be trustworthy, and the trustworthy one is deemed to be a traitor. (Ibn Majah, Ahmad)

They say the Most Trustworthy One (s) is a traitor and they say the traitor is trustworthy. These people (extremists) say the Muslims are traitors but they claim they are Muslim, and although they are a small minority they say they are the right ones and all the others are traitors! It is typical of what Prophet (s) has indicated. For that reason, last Thursday night on the first night of Rajab the Awliyaullah were in congregation in remembrance of the Hadith, “Whoever comes against My wali, I declare war on him.”

Allah (swt) said:

My servant does not cease to approach Me through voluntary worship until I will love him.

(Hadith Qudsi, Bukhari)

And also:

(Allah [swt] said) Whoever comes against My wali, I declare war on him.

(Hadith Qudsi; Bukhari, from Abu Hurayrah)

In that gathering, Awliyaullah asked Allah for the sake of Sayyidina Muhammad (s) to give something to stop that enmity toward others, to defeat them not by sending airplanes--that is not our duty, that is duty of governments--our duty is to do what Allah (swt) and the Prophet (s) indicated to us. What is that? When you are in a forest or desert and you are worried about anyone coming against you, call on rijaalullah, Abdaal.

That is mentioned in many Ahadith of the Prophet (s), go look for it. Abdaal ash-Shaam, these men, the 124,000 Awliyaullah that are everywhere; some say there are only 40, but according to Tafseer Surat al-`Araaf by Ibn Abbas (r) there are 124,000. You call on them because Allah (swt) mentioned them to the Prophet (s) in the Hadith Qudsi that Allah will declare war on anyone who comes against one of His saints. So on 1st Rajab, Awliyaullah were asking Allah to give His permission to destroy this group of people and Allah gave the tasbeeh of “Yaa Jabbar, yaa Qahhar, yaa Jabbar, yaa Qahhar, yaa Jabbar, yaa Qahhar, yaa Jabbar, yaa Qahhar, The One with Absolute Power in His Hand, The Demolisher, The Destroyer, The Subduer, The One to bring up Haqq against baatil!”

Say (O Muhammad), "Haqq (Truth) has come and baatil (falsehood) has perished.” (Surat al-Israa’, 17:81)

This is the year of Haqq. The Prophet (s) said, “I asked Allah not to let us to fight each other with a sword,” and now they are the people of swords. In this time, Prophet (s) specifically said ‘sword,’ because in the Last Days they have other weapons but they will use swords, which is why you see them with huge knives. Today Haqq is lost: you trust the traitor as if he is trustworthy and the trustworthy ameen is seen as a traitor, it is the opposite of haqq! Man `adaa lee waliyyan faqad aadhantahu bi ’l-harb, if you come against one wali, Allah will destroy you! We have to be afraid of Allah, He knows who are His Awliyaullah on Earth, and He will hit on them and destroy whoever harms them!

Awliya understand that this group is going to be finished because those who come against sincere Muslims and mu’mins, Allah is going to destroy them and those who come for peace and respect. Allah will support them. Will Allah support Shaytan or His sincere servants? He supports His sincere servants, not Iblees and his crew; He supports the good ones, so be good and you will be under the umbrella of that Hadith, protected from the fitna we are seeing today. My suggestion is that Allah yudaf`i, continuously defends the Believers, so we hand this over to Allah (swt) as He knows best, we don’t know, and we say to them that when ajar comes no one can stop it, because when the soul has to go to Allah (swt) it is not in their hands, you die, you go.

When Sayyidina Jibreel (a) told the Prophet (s), “Allah is sending salaams and leaves the matter in your hand, do you want to stay or go?” the Prophet (s) said, “What is for me in dunya? It is better for me to go to Rafeeq al-`Alaa into Allah’s Divine Presence. What will I do here in dunya?” Death is in the hands of Allah (swt), but there are causes for it. The one who is killed will go Shaheed and will be respected by everyone because he didn’t do anything wrong, he did his best for the Ummah. Prophet (s) did the best for the whole Ummah, for the whole universe!

And We did not send you (Muhammad) except as a Mercy to the worlds. (21:107)

How much Anbiyaullah have been tortured? There are no Anbiya anymore, but there are Inheritors of Anbiyaullah, `Ulama are inheritors from Prophets:

العلماء ورثة الانبياء

The (genuine) scholars are Inheritors of the Prophets.

Their nations came against Prophet (s) and also today they (extremists) are coming against `Ulama and Awliya because they showed they are wrong. Wa qul jaa al-haaq wa zahaq al-baatil, they showed Haqq and they exposed these people and they showed baatil, that these people have to stop doing these wrong things. So my suggestion is to follow the Hadith of Prophet (s), not to interfere, and to work on ourselves to be a better mu’min and a better Muslim. That is to do what you know about Islam because as Prophet (s) said, “There is nothing being left from Islam except it’s name.” Today they make halaqahs in masaajid to teach Islam, but it is not enough; still it is in the content of the name, they know the name ‘Islam,’ but not like before when `Ulama went deep into explanations of ayaat al-Qur’an or Ahadith of Prophet (s). Today it is superficial, artificial, they don’t go deep. You have to dive. What is left from Islam is the name, but to work under that name to call people and explain is acceptable.

May Allah (swt) guide us to what is good and take away what is bad from us. Our suggestion is to look at and audit your own self and try to come out with more understanding and more open faith to those who are caught in between, because they don’t know what way to go. However, every road, every way is according to the saying, “The ways to Allah (swt) are on the number of breaths of human beings.”

There are so many, so follow one and when there are obstacles you will overcome them in time, and by strong faith and inshaa-Allah every one of us, those who are sitting here, those who are watching from far, those who are hearing it, inshaa-Allah Allah (swt) will take us on the Shore of Safety to be with Prophet (s) and Awliyaullah, wa min Allahi ‘t-tawfeeq!

Don’t underestimate the power of a saint. He can move mountains when iraadatullah, the Will of Allah comes! You don’t know when that happens and one can change everything. Sayyidina Muhyiddin Ibn `Arabi and Sayyidina Aba Yazeed al-Bistami (q) asked, “Yaa Rabbee! Give us permission, we will turn everyone to believe in you in five minutes, in one sajda.” They can see with Allah’s Divine Power that He put in the hearts of Awliyaullah, they can count the whole Ummah name by name because they inherit from Prophet (s)! In a moment, Prophet (s) was in Qaaba Qawsayni Aw `Adnaa! In no time, Allah will give His servants what they want, but keep defeating the obstacles; don’t stop at an obstacle and try to make your case, no, push the obstacle, it will go by reciting, “Yaa Jabbar, yaa Qahhar, yaa Jabbar, yaa Qahhar” on our ego and our bad desires. “Yaa Rahmaan, yaa Raheem, yaa Rahmaan, yaa Raheem, yaa Rahmaan, yaa Raheem,” you can begin with “yaa Jabbar, yaa Qahhar” and you end with “yaa Rahmaan, yaa Raheem” to destroy obstacles by The Subduer and enter the Ocean of Mercy and Compassion!

Wa min Allahi 't-tawfeeq, bi hurmati 'l-habeeb, bi hurmati 'l-Fatihah.
