All Creation was Created to Honor Allah’s Beloved (s)

Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani

27 December 2011 East Java, Indonesia

Mawlid and Suhbah at Masjid al-Akbar, Surabaya

A`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytani 'r-rajeem Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem. Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar! Laa ilaaha illa-Llah Muhammadan Rasoolullah!

As-salaat wa ’s-salaam `alayka, yaa Rasoolullah! As-salaat wa ’s-salaam `alayka, yaa Shafi` al-Mudhnibeen! As-salaat was-salaam `alayka, yaa Abu ’l-Batool! As-salaat wa ’s-salaam `alayka, yaa man Karamatullah! afaad `alayk mimaa laa `aynan ra’at wa laa udhunun sami`at wa maa khatar `alaa qalbi bashr... thumm alhamdulillahi Rabbi ‘l-`alameen!

Praise and blessings be upon Sayyidina Muhammad (s). May Allah grant him what no eye has seen, no ear has heard and what has never occurred to the heart of any human being from manifestations of the Divine Essence! We ask Allah to make us among those receiving blessing and happiness, and to be a gathering for the Muhammadan Presence! We ask for safety and health of Shaykh `Abdul Qadir as-Saqqaf and all attendees. Wa `alaykum salaam wa rahmatullah wa barakaatuh.

O Servants of Allah! O Lovers of the Prophet (s)! No one knows from where to begin and from where to end. The tongue is unable to express the love and the praise of the Prophet (s)! If this is your situation, you are feeling that love and want to live with happiness, and in joy and praise of the Prophet (s), and all kinds of lights and happiness that Allah sends down from the Heavens! What then was the condition of the angels when Allah (swt) took the Prophet (s) to the Station of Two Bow's Length, Qaaba Qawsayni aw Adnaa, and he looked at the Divine Presence with his very eyes? All of you were carried there with him, because you are from the ummah of the Prophet (s) and there is no way the Prophet (s) can go without his ummah from Mecca the Honored, to Masjid al-Aqsa in Jerusalem, to the Divine Presence!

Alam taraa anna Allaha yusabihu lahu man fi ’s-samaawaati wa ’l-ardi wa ‘tairu saaffaatin kullun qad `alima salaatahoo wa tasbeehahoo wa ’Llahu `aleemun bimaa yaf`aloona.

Do you not see that it is Allah Whose praises all beings in the Heavens and on Earth celebrate, and the birds (of the air) in their flight? Each one knows its own (mode of) prayer and praise, and Allah knows well all that they do. (An-Noor, 24:41)

Everything that is and all that will be created, all of them are glorifying Allah in every smallest moment! there are three trillion cells in the human body, which scientists say are like a complete nation with its army and different administrations and workers and so on. (...video cut...)

Allah (swt) said in His Holy Book:

إِنَّا فَتَحْنَا لَكَ فَتْحًا مُّبِينًا

Inna fatahnaa laka fathan mubeena.

Verily We have granted you (O Muhammad!) a manifest victory/opening. (Al-Fath, 48:1)

It means, “Yaa Muhammad! We have opened to you the victory!” which is reference to:

إِذَا جَاء نَصْرُ اللَّهِ وَالْفَتْحُ

Idhaa jaa’ nasrullahu wa ’l-fath.

When the Victory of Allah comes and the Opening. (An-Nasr 110:1)

It means, “We have opened to you from the knowledge of Allah that has not reached anyone but you,” as the Qur’an is comprised of uncreated Divine Words and He taught it to the Prophet (s), the first of all Creation. When the Prophet (s) was created from Allah’s Light, and the Light kawkaban durriy, was placed in the niche, and was receiving the manifestations of Allah's Lights and spun like a planet under them.

The Divine Name "Allah" encompasses all of Allah's Beautiful Names and Attributes and Allahs’ gnostics say that the symbols of the letters kaf, ha, ya, `ayn, saad have symbolic meaning that have not been opened to anyone but the Prophet (s). inna fatahnaa laka fathan mubeena, “We have opened to you these Divine Attributes that were never opened to anyone before!” The verse then continues:

لِيَغْفِرَ لَكَ اللَّهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِن ذَنبِكَ وَمَا تَأَخَّرَ وَيُتِمَّ نِعْمَتَهُ عَلَيْكَ وَيَهْدِيَكَ صِرَاطًا مُّسْتَقِيمًا

li yaghfira lak-Allahu maa taqaddama min dhanbika wa maa ta’akhkhar.

For Allah to forgive what sins you did prior and what you will do. (Al-Fath 48:2)

What does this mean? Did the Prophet (s) have sins? It means, “You are the Beloved of the Lord,” and wa rafa`na laka dhikrak, “We have raised up your remembrance.” (...video cut...)

We relate this story of Sayyidina Musa (a), who arrived at a mountain where he heard a very loud voice, which was strange. He followed that voice to a cave, where he found a person sitting and reciting, “Glory be to He Who has preferred me over many of whom He created.” Where did he find such beautiful words? From Holy Qur'an!

Wa laqad karramnaa banee aadama wa hamalnaahum fi ’l-barri w ’al-bahri wa razaqnaahum mina ’t-tayyibaati wa faddalnaahum `alaa katheerin mimman khalaqnaa tafdeelaa.

We have honored the sons of Adam and borne them over land and sea, and provided for them sustenance out of the good things of life and conferred on them special favors, above a great part of Our Creation. (al-Israa, 17:70)

Sayyidina Musa (a) entered the cave and found a man with no legs, no hands, sitting in prayer, prostrating and reciting. "Glory be to He who has preferred me over many of whom He has created." He said to that servant of Allah, “How are you saying that Allah preferred you to many of His Creation?” Then Sayyidina Musa (a) fell into prostration! Look at us; we are completely healthy, in a perfect condition, and that man had no hands, legs, food, nothing in that cave, and he only spent his time in prostration, thanking Allah (swt)!

Because Sayyidina Musa (a) was “Kaleemullah,” the one who speaks with Allah. So like when you speak with someone, he approached Allah with no veil and, therefore, he assumed he was very close to His Lord, so he said (as mentioned in Holy Qur'an):

Qaala rabbee arinee anzhur ilayk, qaala lan taraanee wa laakin unzhur ila ’l-jabali, fa in istaqarrra makaanuhu fa-sawfa taraanee, fa lamaa tajalla rabbuhu li 'l-jabali ja`alahoo dakkan wa khara Moosa saa'iqan, falamma aafaaqa qaala subhaanaka tubtu ilayk, wa anaa awwal al-mumineen.

He said, "O my Lord! Show Yourself to me, that I may look upon You." Allah said, "By no means can you see Me (directly), but look upon the mountain; if it abides in its place, then you shall see Me." When his Lord manifested His glory on the mount, He made it as dust, and Moses fell down in a swoon. When he recovered his senses, he said, "Glory be to You! To You I return in repentance, and I am the first to believe." (Surat al-`Araaf, 7:143)

Musa (a) looked at the mountain and Allah sent the Light of Holy Qur'an onto the mountain, as Allah cannot show His own Light to anything, nor His Beautiful Names and Attributes, for then the mountain would disappear, but He sent the Light of Holy Qur'an, His Ancient Words, on that mountain, and Sayyidina Musa (a) fell unconscious, and the evidence of this is the verse:

لَوْ أَنزَلْنَا هَذَا الْقُرْآنَ عَلَى جَبَلٍ لَّرَأَيْتَهُ خَاشِعًا مُّتَصَدِّعًا مِّنْ خَشْيَةِ اللَّهِ

Law anzalnaa haadha’l-quraana `alaa jabalin la-raa’itahu khaashiyan mutasadi`an min khashyatillah.

If we were to send down this Holy Qur'an on a mountain, the mountain would have humbled itself, fallen down, collapsing. (Al-Hashr, 59:21)

However, the Prophet (s) did not fall down or collapse to pieces when Holy Qur'an was revealed to him. Therefore, our duty is to inform others of the rights and realities of Sayyidina Muhammad (s) and to recite salawaat, and to continue singing qasidas of praise that exalt his greatness, regardless of how much the Wahabis hate it!

Fatihah.
