Bismillahi 'r-Rahmaani 'r-Raheem. Alhamdulillahi Rabbi 'l-`Alameen, wa ’s-salaatu wa ’s-salaamu `alaa ashrafi 'l-mursaleena Sayyidina wa Nabiyyina Muhammadin wa `alaa aalihi wa sahbihi ajma`een.

كلمتان خفيفتان على اللسان ثقيلتان فى الميزان حبيبتان إلى الرحمن سبحان الله و بحمده سبحان الله العظيم

There are two words that are very easy to say, yet very heavy on the Scale, most beloved to The Merciful, “SubhaanAllah wa bihamdihi subhaanAllahi ’l-`Azheem.” (Bukhari and Muslim)

As-salaamu `alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh. Two words that are very light on the Scale --whoever says them will enter Paradise. Kalimataan khafeefataan `alaa ’l-lisaan thaqeelataan fi ’l-meezaan, “Two words that are very light on the tongue, very heavy on the Scale and very lovely to Allah (swt),” Habeenataan li ‘r-Tahmaan. Anyone who says “SubhaanAllah wa bihamdihi subhaanAllahi ‘l-`Azheem” will enter the Divine Presence, will enter the love of Allah (swt) and love of Prophet (s). All of in our dunya are running to show our love to Prophet (s) and here Allah is saying, “Say these two words and you are showing love to Allah and to His Prophet.”

Look at the sequence of the verse of the Hadith of Prophet (s). The sequences begins with Kalimataan khafeefataan `alaa ’l-lisaan thaqeelataan fi ’l-meezaan. It means two words that you say with your tongue, so any action you do in this world is through your tongue speaking. The first to speak are these two words. When you say them they will go from your tongue to the Scale of Allah (swt) to weigh for us how much He will reward us for it. Kalimataan khafeefataan `alaa ’l-lisaan, “very light on the tongue when you say it,” and you have to say it. It will take you to enter the realm of thaqeelataan fi ’l-meezaan, “heavy in the Scale” as if you are appearing in front of the Scale on the Day of Judgment. In dunya you are appearing in the Scale and sending these two words to the Scale and the Scale is very heavy when these two words come on it.

When this is accomplished, mentioning them by your tongue, sending them to the scale then habeebataan li ’r-rahmaan, then Allah (swt) loves someone who is recites these and Allah (swt) will give him maghfirah.

Allah (swt) is saying, “SubhaanAllah wa bihamdihi subhaanAllahi ’l-`Azheem, praise be to Allah, The Magnificent,” then at the end we say, “Astaghfirullah,” and Allah (swt) will take us into the Ocean of Istighfaar to purify us. Like parents bathe their child, inshaa-Allah Allah (swt) will bathe us in Nahr al-Kawthar if we recite these two verses: SubhaanAllah wa bihamdihi subhaanAllahi ’l-`Azheem. He rewards us with bathing in or drinking from Nahr al-Kawthar, prepared for Sayyidina Muhammad (s), his Ummah and whomever Allah decides. Inshaa-Allah we will be from those to drink from Prophet’s cup from the Kawthar river!

Farahu ‘l-muslimeen hudoor hadhihi ‘l-majaalis, Muslims’ happiness is in attending these circles which, as we said yesterday, Prophet (s) encouraged the Sahaabah and everyone to attend.

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: إذا مررتم برياض الجنة فارتعوا. قالو وما رياض الجنة؟ قال "حلق الذكر"

Ibn `Umar reported that the Prophet (s) said: "When you pass by the Gardens of Paradise, avail yourselves of them." The Companions asked: "What are the Gardens of Paradise, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied: "The circles of dhikr.” (Tirmidhi)

This Hadith was mentioned to the Sahaabah (r) and from them to all humanity: wherever you find Gardens of Heaven in dunya, attend them and do whatever they are doing, sit with them. “When you pass by Riyaadh al-Jannah on Earth,” means there are so many places where the tajalli, heavenly manifestations are present. To attend such associations is like attending a Rawdah from Heavens; Allah will bless you and those who made it possible for all of us.

This is why we must recite, “SubhaanAllah wa bihamdihi subhaanAllahi ’l-`Azheem.” Don’t miss the opportunity! Let us recite it now as witnesses on each other:

SubhaanAllah wa bihamdihi subhaanAllahi ’l-`Azheem.

SubhaanAllah wa bihamdihi subhaanAllahi ’l-`Azheem.

SubhaanAllah wa bihamdihi subhaanAllahi ’l-`Azheem.

It is very heavy on the Scale and very light on the tongue. Although we quickly said it three times, it will remain on the Scale until the Day of Judgement, becoming heavier with each recitation, and the heaviness never ends as Allah is giving more and more rewards so your hasanaat will increase by saying it one time or three times or a hundred times. Allah (swt) will be happy with you and will bless that majlis:

أَنَا جَلِيْسُ مَنْ ذَكَرَنِي

[Allah said to the Prophet], I sit with him who remembers Me. (Hadith Qudsi. Ahmad, Bayhaqi)

We are remembering Him through this Holy Hadith of Prophet (s), asking for His forgiveness. May Allah (swt) forgive us and bless the owners of this house and the marriage of their son and bless the bride inshaa-Allah and her family and bless all of us.

Bi hurmati 'l-habeeb, bi hurmati 'l-Fatihah.

[Du`a.] Al-Fatihah. The du`a is brief because it is a ceremony of enjoyment and people want to express their love to the bride and the groom, so we’ll give them the opportunity. The du`a that Shaykh Mustafa just made covers everything for the best of life of the bride and groom, their families and attendees inshaa-Allah. May Allah make you happy, bless you and support you.

Wa ‘s-salaamu `alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh.
