Recite this Holy Verse for Protection

Sultan al-Awliya

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim al-Haqqani

21 December 2012 Lefke, Cyprus

(Translated from Arabic)

Sayyidina Abbas (r) said, "Whoever recites this du`a and something happens to him, I am responsible for his retribution!" Therefore, repeat it all the time!

Subhaan-alladhee yusabbihu 'r-ra`du bi-hamdihi wa 'l-malaa'ikatu min khiyfatihi wa huwa `alaa kulla shay'in qadeer.

Glory is to Him to Whom the thunder exalt His praise, as do the angels in awe of Him and He has power over all things.

O our Lord! Send Your Mercy on us and protect us if something comes towards or around us. O our Lord! We are your weak servants! People do not know anything about their religion, and therefore, rain will come upon them, but instead of it being a rain of mercy, it will be a sign of the anger from Heavens! Yaa Rabbee! Forgive and pardon us. O our Lord! Accept our repentance. Tub `alayna, yaa Tawwab! O our Lord! We are Your weak and ignorant servants! O our Lord! Send us the one who may show us the ways of servanthood. Tawbah yaa Rabbee, tawbah astaghfirullah!

O Servants of the Lord! Leave what is meaningless and walk the path to the way of Heavens. Instead of gathering and shouting in the streets, leave this and go to the Houses of Allah (swt)! Mosques are the Houses of Allah (swt), so gather in the mosques and beg and pray so that mercy may come upon you. What is your business to be in the streets; to whom are you calling? To whom are you calling? You are calling upon someone who has no life! Go to the mosques and make dhikr and ask and cry! Cry and supplicate to your Lord, that He may change the situation to another situation:

يا محول الحول والأحوال حول حالنا الی احسن الحال

Yaa Muhawwil al-hawli wa ‘l-ahwaal! Hawwi ‘l-haalanaa ilaa ahsan al-haal!

O Transformer of States! Turn our situation to the best of situations!

O my Lord! We are Your weak servants! For the sake of your Prophet, al-Mustafa, and for the sake of all those who have honor, have mercy on our weakness and on our difficulties! Yaa Mawlay! Yaa Rabbanaa! SubhaanAllah wa ‘l-hamdulillah wa laa ilaaha illa-Llah Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar wa lillaahi 'l-hamd! Fatihah.

In a Holy Verse, Allah (swt) says:

نَسُواْ اللّهَ فَنَسِيَهُمْ

Nasu-Llaaha fa nasiyahum.

They have forgotten Allah, so He has forgotten them. (Surat at-Tawbah, 9:67)

Those people forgot their Lord, Allah (swt), and Allah (swt) left them forgotten. They are forgotten people: they left their Lord and their Lord left them forgotten!

O Egyptian People! Use your mind, your understanding, your consciousness, your faith, your servanthood! Give your servanthood and Allah will take care of everything in your world and the promise of al-Haqq is to grant you Heavens!

Inna alladheena aamanoo wa `amilu’s-saalihaati kaanat lahum jannaatu’l-firdawsi nuzula, Khaalideena feehaa laa yabghoona `anhaa hiwalaa.

As to those who believe and work righteous deeds, they have, for their entertainment, the Gardens of Paradise wherein they shall dwell (for eternity); no change will they wish for from them.

(Surat al-Kahf, 18:107-108)

At that time not one person will say, “I am fed up!” Hashaa! It is forever and forever! Not one person will say, “We got bored.” More, O our Lord, grant us more! Yaa Rabbee! Zidnaa min fadlik! “O our Lord! Grant us more from Your bounty!” Ask for more from Allah, your Lord! What is in this world? Today you are living, tomorrow you are going.

O People! Leave the whispers of Shaytan and come! Come and accept the teachings of the Prophet (s). You are going after the teachings of Shaytan, O People of Egypt, all of you are scholars! Why? Leave Shaytan and the ways of Shaytan and return to your Lord. Return to your Lord! SubhaanAllah. We are non-Arabs, so we have an excuse if we made a mistake, but you know the magnificent Holy Qur’an is in Arabic language and you go against it, so your punishment will be multiplied! Allah! Safar al-Khayr, O my Lord! Have mercy on our weakness. Have mercy on our difficulties, especially in this month. Safar al-Khayr is the hardest month of the year. If they do not return to Islam, there is no life for them. There is an Arabic saying, “There is no life for whom you are calling.” You would be like, nasyan mansiyya, forgotten ones. Tawbah yaa Rabbee! Repent to your Lord, O Egyptian People, and also ask who would be good for you in your life and who would intercede for you in the Hereafter. Ask for a sultan from Allah, as the Prophet (s) says:

السلطان ظل الله في الأرض

As-sultaan dhillullah fi 'l-ardh.

The Sultan is the Shadow of Allah on Earth.

Where is your sultan? You collect from the market, from the public to be sultan over you. No! What Allah (swt) has granted from beginning to the end, ask for a sultan. “A sultan,” the Prophet (s) said, "is the Shadow of Allah on Earth." Allahu Akbar!

Atee`oollaha wa atee`oo 'r-Rasoola wa ooli 'l-amri minkum.

Obey Allah, obey the Prophet, and obey those in authority among you. (Surat an-Nisa, 4:59)

Amri minkum, those who are ruling you are "the Shadow of Allah" as the sultan. Allahu Akbar! Tawbah yaa Rabbee, tawbah astaghfirullah.

O Egyptians! Use your minds; do not be drunk or ignorant. It is not honorable for the people of Egypt to be like the ignorants and deny the truths of Islam and its guidance. How should a person live?

`Allama ‘l-insaana maa lam ya`alam.

Taught man that which he knew not. (Surat al-`Alaq, 96:5)

He taught them, they learned from Allah (swt) and from Prophet (s), but people attack, saying, “Democracy!” You run after his way but “you shall never be successful!” (Surat al-An`am, 6:21)

Return to the words of al-Haqq and take a sultan, because verily the sultan is the Shadow of Allah on Earth, which means he is supported and honored. Allah (swt) dresses the sultan with the dress of glory! Glory! He dresses him with the dress of courage! He dresses him with the dress of virtuousness, with the dress of familiarity, with the dress of forgiveness! He dresses him with the dress of justice and generosity! When a sultan comes, all that comes from him is goodness and winning something--winning with the blessings of the sultan. No person comes to a sultan and leaves empty handed, never! As for the public, what can they give you? They have nothing to be able to give you. Allah gave from His Sultanate, from the heavenly attribute of sultan. He gave the sultan power. He dressed them with generosity, forgiveness, and justice. He dressed them with everything that people desire: goodness and justice. He dressed them with mercy in their hearts and forgiveness. Allahu Akbar!

O Egyptian People! You are living in the land of knowledge of Islam. You are the most famous country for your knowledge and your scholars since they know and understand the Holy Qur’an, what the rest of the people do not understand. Mashaa-Allah! Allah gave you some attributes that He praised you with. He praised you, as in the story of Sayyidina Yusuf (a), when they brought him from the county of Canaan to Egypt to teach them how to worship their Lord and how the attribute of a servant should be towards his Lord. What a pity for the people in Egypt whom the tyrants left ignorant! Tyrant evilness is not clear to them; the people thought that they will be doing better with them, but never! The tyrants were bad to the people and put them under their feet.

O Princes! What gives you the right? On the Day of Judgment you will be in such affliction, and as Allah’s Beloved (s) taught us, "If matters are not in the hands of the qualified, then expect Judgment Day!" Who are the qualified? You bring a man from the market to be a sultan over you? Everything has its origin. Give back what is rightly due to its people, about which the Prophet has informed us:

`Ati kulli dhi haqqan haqqah.

Gave everyone their due rights.

They took the rights of the kings and threw them away, so Allah punished them with this punishment.

O Egyptian People! Repent to your Lord! We are non-Arabs and we are looking at your situation because you are the people of knowledge and kings. Your kings are famous for their generosity, serving with good manners to the servants of their Lord, and they were dressed with the dress of honor. The tyrants threw them away and you still did not understand what those tyrants did to you, starting right after King Farooq, who was a great king and sultan. They threw him away and Allah sent upon them all sort of afflictions.

O People of Egypt! Repent to your Lord so Allah may send back to you your king, the king of Egypt, whose treasury was equivalent to the treasure of seven countries! Now you have become beggars. Does this suit the people of Egypt, to go on the streets and scream like the animals? Where are you, in the wild? What is this? Shame on you, especially their women, to whom Allah (swt) ordered:

وَلَا تَبَرَّجْنَ تَبَرُّجَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ الْأُولَى

Wa laa tabarrajna tabarajj al-jahiliyyati 'l-oola.

Stay in your homes and do not decorate yourselves like the decoration of the first Era of Ignorance.

(Surat al-Ahzaab, 33:33)

Where are your scholars to remind them? Remind them!

Wa dhakkir fa-inna 'dh-dhikraa tanfa`u 'l-mu'mineen.

And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers. (Surat adh-Dhariyat, 51:55)

We remind them. May Allah (swt) forgive me and forgive you. Tawbah, yaa Rabbee!

Fatihah.
