By the Star when it goes down,- Your Companion is neither astray nor being misled. Nor does he say (aught) of (his own) Desire. It is no less than inspiration sent down to him. (Surat an-Najm, 53:1-4)

wa qaala `azza wa jall fee sharafin-nabiyy,

Allah Most Esteemed and Glorified said, in respect of the Prophet (s):

Yaseen wa ‘l qur’an al-hakeem. innaka la-mina ’l-mursaleen `ala siraatin mustaqeem. tanzeel al-`azeezi ‘r-raheem.

Yaseen. By the wise Qur'an, Lo! thou (O Muhammad) art of those sent, On a straight path,A revelation of the Mighty, the Merciful. (Surah YaSeen, 36:1-5)

Everything that the Prophet (s) said was revelation from Allah swt and so every hadith is revelation (wahiy) from Allah and whoever believes different than that has committed a grave mistake.

Laa tansaw al-`azheematayn. qaaloo maa al-`azheemataan. Qaala fa-dhakara rasoolullah (s) maa dhakkara thumma bakaa hatta jaraa awaa’il dum`ooihi jaanibay lahyatahu thumma qaal: walladhee nafsi Muhammadin bi-yadihi law `alimtum ma aa`alamu min `ilmi’l-aakhirati la-mashaytum ilas-sa`eed wa la-hasaytum `alaa ru’oosikum at-turaab.

wa fee hadeeth ukhraa: w’Allahi law ta`lamoona maa `alam la-dahaktum qaleelan wa la-bakaytum katheeran wa lamaa ladhadhtum bin-nisaa’i `ala al-farash, wa la-kharajtum ila’s-sa`daati tajaaroona il-Allah.

Ibn `Umar related that the Prophet (s) said in his khutbah, “Do not forget the two tremendous affairs!” and they asked, “What are the two tremendous affairs?” He said, “Paradise and the Fire.” Then he began to weep until the streams of tears wet the two sides of his (holy) beard, and then he said, “By the One in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad! If you know what I know, you would not have smiled in all your life, but all your life you would be weeping and crying continuously; you would not even have desire for women in bed, and you would be running away to the desert from fear of Allah (swt).”

Falamaa sami`a Abu Dharr hadha qaala: la-wadadtu innee kuntu shajratan ta`dud.

When Abu Dharr heard this, he said, “I wished I were a strong tree (from fear).”

O mu’mins! O Muslims!

Inna lillaahi `azza wa jall malaikat tar`ad faraa’isihim min makhaafatih. maa minhum malakan taqturu min `aynayhi dama`atin illa waqa`at malakan tusabbih. wa malaaikata sujoodan mundhu khalaqa-allahu ’s-samawaati wa ’l-ard lam yarfa`oo ru’oosihim wa laa yarfa`oonahaa ila yawmi ’l-qiyaamata. wa malaaikata rukoo`an lam yarfa`oo ru’oosihim wa laa yarfa`oonahaa ila yawmi ’l-qiyaamata. wa sufoofan lam yansarifoo `an masaafihim wa laa yansarifoona ila yawmi ’l-qiyamah. [fa idhaa kaana yawm al-qiyamata tajallaa lahum rabbahum fa-nadharoo ilayhi wa qaaloo: maa `abadnaaka kamaa yanbaghee lak.]

The Prophet (s) said, “If you see what I am seeing and if you are hearing what I am hearing, heavens and earth gave a great sound, that there is no space between four fingers, that there is not an angel who is prostrating to Allah (swt), and there is not one but when a drop of tear falls from its eye there appeared an angel standing there, glorifying Allah and there are angels who have been in continuous prostration from the time that Allah created the heavens and the earth; they have never raised their heads from prostration, nor will they do so until the Day of Judgment. And there are angels bowing, they never raised their heads nor will they do so, until the Day of Judgment. And there are rows of angels, and they did not move from their positions in the row and they will not leave their positions in the rows until the Day of Judgement. [The hadith continues: “And they will remain so until Judgment Day, whereupon their Lord will manifest to them and they will look at Him and they will say ‘Glory be to You, our Lord! We have not worshipped You as You should be worshipped!’”]

O Muslims! Prophet (s) wants to urge us to do whatever is good for ourselves and our lives.

Qaala ilaahee maa jazaa’u man bakiya min khashiyatik hatta tasilu dumu`ahu `alaa wajinatayy. Qaal inna jazaa’uhu annu harimu wajhahu `ala lufahi ’n-naar wa an oo-aminahu yawma faza`i ’l-akbar.

Abi al-Jild Jaylaan ibn Farwah said: I read that Dawood (as) said, “O my God! What is the reward of one who cries from fear of You until the tears flow down his cheeks?” Allah (swt) answered, “His reward is that his face will be forbidden from the heat of the Fire and he will be in peace, safety and tranquility on the day of the Great Terror.”

`Ani’l-Hassan (a) qaal balaghanaa anna al-baakee min khashiyatillah laa yaqturu min dumoo`ihi qataratin `alaa al-`ard hatta tu`taqu raqabatahu mina ‘n-naar, wa law ana baakiyan bakaa fee malaa’in min al-malaa la-ruhimoo jamee`an bi bukaa’ih.

It was related by al-Hassan (a) “it reached us what will happen to someone if tears come from his eyes when he remembers Allah and His Prophet?” And he said, “Anyone who remembers Allah and His Prophet and tears come from his eyes, Allah (swt) will free one neck from Hellfire. If someone is crying where many people are sitting and hearing, Allah (swt) will grant all of them Mercy due to his crying (I.e. free all of them from Hellfire.)”

O Muslims! Look what Sayyidina Dawood (a) said!

When Sayyidina Dawood (a) made the mistake of asking for one more lady to be his wife, he felt (shame in) that and he ran away crying. When he cried, all of Bani Israeel cried with him. Then he ran to the forest crying and all the animals cried with him. Then he ran to the mountain moaning and he said, “O my Lord! I am coming to You; forgive me my great sin,” until he came back to his home in the evening. When he entered his room, and his son came to him and said, “O my father! Please come to us to break fast with us.” Sayyidina Dawood (a) replied, “O! How can your father come when he committed this big mistake?”

He was only asking for a wife, and how many mistakes do we do each day?

Sayyidina Dawood (a) said, “Leave me alone, I don’t want to eat, I am busy asking forgiveness from my Lord.” His young son returned to his mother crying. His wife came and said, “O Prophet of Allah! May my father and mother be sacrificed for you! The night has come and the breakfast of those who fast is ready. Shall I not bring you your food?” He said, calling her from behind the door, “and what shall Dawood do with food, after committing the great mistake?” And he stayed there doing that until he was forgiven.

O Muslims! May Allah forgive us. May Allah bless us, and as Sayyidina `Ali (r) said:

Ra’aaitu rabbee bi `ayni qalbee

Fa-qultu la shakka Anta Anta

I saw my Lord with the eye of my heart.

I said, “No doubt it’s You! It’s You!”

Anta-ladhee hizta kulla aynin

Bi haythu laa ayna thamma Anta

You are the One who encompassed every ‘where’

so that there is no ‘where,’ except You are there!

Fa laysa li ’l-ayni minka aynun

Fa y`alamu al-aynu ayna Anta.

‘Where’ has no ‘where’ in regards to You,

for ‘where’ to know where You are?

Wa laysa li ’l-wahmi feeka wahmun

Fa y`alamu ’l-wahmu ayna anta

Nor can imagination imagine You,

for imagination to know where You are.

Ahatta `ilman bi kulli shayin

Your knowledge encompasses everything

so that everything I see is You!

Wa fee fana-ee fanaa fanaa’ee

Wa fee fanaa’ee wajadtu Anta

And in my annihilation is the annihilation of my annihilation,

and in my annihilation, I found You.

(From The Commentary of the Hikam of Ibn Ataillah as-Sakandari, by Ibn `Ajiba.

Ikaz al-himmam fee sharhi al-hikam li Ahmad bin Muhammad bin `Ajiba al-Hasani)

Praise be to Allah, hamd, full and prayers and peace be upon His Apostle and Prophet, Muhammad (s) and his family (r), and on the Companions (r) of the Prophet (s). Out of respect and honor to His Excellency, the matter, he says of the descriptive and an informer and saying one thing: that God and His angels send blessings on the Prophet! May Allah bless Shaykh Muhammad Nazim al-Haqqani and guide him to what pleases you, O Lord; also bless the Saahibu ‘z-Zaman Sayyidina Mahdi (a).

God enjoins justice and kindness, and giving to kinsfolk, and forbids lewdness, cunning and injustice. So heed the call for prayer, in remembrance of Allah. Allahu Akbar!
