Farewell

Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani

22 June 2011 Jakarta, Indonesia

Suhbah after `Isha at Guesthouse

A`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytaani 'r-rajeem. Bismillahi 'r-Rahmaani 'r-Raheem.

Nawaytu 'l-arba`een, nawaytu 'l-`itikaaf, nawaytu 'l-khalwah, nawaytu 'l-`uzlah,

nawaytu 'r-riyaadah, nawaytu 's-sulook, lillahi ta`ala fee haadha 'l-masjid.

Ati`ullaha wa ati`u 'r-Rasoola wa ooli 'l-amri minkum.

Obey Allah, obey the Prophet, and obey those in authority among you. (4:59)

As-salaamu `alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh.

(…) because awliyaaullah look for people like you, who have a hunger and strong imaan, and that hunger is your love to be part of Sayyidina Mahdi’s (a) time. In the past, there have been many `ulama and awliyaaullah that wished to be in the time of Mahdi (a) and all of us are praying to be in that time and are hopeful that Allah will write that for them and us, because it is in a hadith, that intidhaari ’l-faraji `ibadah, to wait for an opening is worship:

أفضل العبادة، انتظار الفرج

afdal al-`ibaadah, intizhaar al-faraj.

The best of worship is awaiting an opening (relief) from difficulty. (Tirmidhi)

One of the signs of the coming of Sayyidina Mahdi (a) is that there will be a great war. We can see today that the Middle East is on fire and there are too many wars now and many problems elsewhere, which are all indications of the arrival of Mahdi (a). Grandshaykh `AbdAllah al-Fa’iz ad-Daghestani and Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Nazim al-Haqqani (q) are looking at us, requesting from Sayyidina Mahdi (a) to also look at us, and their request has been granted and we are under their vision! We must ask Allah (swt) in every prayer to give us long life in order to be with Mahdi (a).

Tonight, inshaa-Allah we are going to say farewell and “as-salaamu `alaykum,” but this salaam is not the end of our visits; inshaa-Allah there will be many more. (In the meantime) be careful whenever you see problems and don't demonstrate, as it is not our job to demonstrate in the streets. Stay in your home and do not go out.

As-salaamu `alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh. Alhamdulillah wa ’s-salaat wa ’s-salaam `ala ashraf’il-anbiyaa wa ’l-mursaleen. (Du`a) Let us all raise our hand to renew our bay`a.

Wa min Allahi 't-tawfeeq, bi hurmati 'l-habeeb, bi hurmati 'l-Fatihah.
